The only reason I purchased this overpriced UHF radio is because of the additional tech that was attached to it. Now that it doesn't work, I may as well have purchased one of the more reasonable priced radios that do what they say on the packet. Come on GME, there are plenty of programmers available that could solve this mess for you quickly. Why is it taking so long?
Similar experience to others, app doesn't work on Android 11. Contacted the support team and they got back very quickly but with the typical "we are aware of the issue and working on it" response. No timeline on when a fix will be forthcoming
For God sake add a save button to the app. A very frustrating experience writing data to app, editing zones, adding scan channels etc then the whole thing is lost coz you can't write to the radio. Just add a save option!!!
Worked before i tried connecting radio. App worked fine, as soon as I paired my radio, the app crashed and hasn't even opened past the main screen in nearly a month! Come on guys, the app opens on my iPhone X but I can't pair it, my Samsung connects but can't open the app????
App crashes after leaving phone idle for 30 seconds. I have my screen timeout set to 10 minutes. Just finished typing heaps of custom channels and app hanging on black screen. Won't bother programming this radio until the app is stable. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge G935F Android 8.00.
Has an overall great interface, easy to use and quick to program. Needs to improve some major crashing bugs. Annoying when app crashes, when doing certain tasks in the app.
Absolutely useless instantly crashes on loading. Seems like this he's been ongoing issue for some time now. They advertise Bluetooth as a main feature of this radio but can't seem to make it work....
I purchased this radio due to the tech. Being able to programme it to individual frequencies was the primary feature I wanted it for. Its now almost 2 months simce android11 update and said radio is useless. Sort it out GME. Not happy Jan.
Since Android 10, I cannot connect my XRS-370C to the XRS Connect app as it does not find the radio. Please fix this. *Edit* Not only that, you need bluetooth enabled as well for it to work. All working now.
Same issue as many others, app won't open after it has been connected to the unit. Disappointed at this stage so uninstalled the app, hope it is fixed in the future. 2 months since my original review and no change....
Cant even open the app without it crashing. The amount of money the radio costs you think you would have an app the works FFS Edit; why should i join beta testing? Clearly it was not done before this release. For the price paid for the radio the least you could do is release a stable app or roll back to a stable version seeing as reports of crashing have been posted since its release
Spent 20 effing minutes setting up all of the scan channels.... then no option to write to radio... only option was read from radio. Of course that deleted all of the mods I had just made... Painful app...
Radio works well, app crashes as soon as you click on it. Uninstalled, installed it & same crape continues. Get your act together GME! Extremely disappointed.
Very disappointing app crashes upon opening... bought this model to specifically use this feature.... now just lodging my complaint with fair trading, I urge everybody else to do the same...false advertising at its best
I always seem to buy gme because Australian made......but always seem to be disappointed. Another example of just not good enough. No software to support product.
Doesn't even open. Invested in what I thought was one of the premium units on the market and can't use one of the main features it touts all over the packaging and marketing material.
Useless app! Paid hundreds for my GME radio that requires updates via the app and other options via the app! This app shuts 1sec after opening it! I have Android Google Pixel 3 and the app doesn't even work on my phone! GME needs to fix this!
App doesn't work, crashes upon attempting to load. Given other reviews it appears to be a common issue on Android devices.
Brought this cb for the Bluetooth option. Could have save $100+ with something else without Bluetooth. App crashes instantly. Galaxy s20+
A dud, will not open. It appears from other reviews this problem has existed for months. This is misleading advertising as GME extoll the value of a feature that does not work for Android phones
App is simple fast and gets the job done. has some help built in which is nice. looking forward to updates. over all runs well.
Locks up on bluetooth search page. Have to uninstall and reinstall constantly. Very frustrating.
App crashes on opening on Samsung S20. Very disappointing from GME up until now has been excellent. Luckily it still works from my Ipad.
What the hell happened to the app. I have been trying to use if for months now. I only bought this damn thing because of the ease of use when it comes to changing up the frequencies now I can't use the f-ing app.
Time to contact ACCC for falsely selling us a product with no service back up and for for product that does not actually work The worse app Won't open anymore 😕 Been over a week now and can't open it I uninstalled and reinstalled and still no luck
Edit - GME finally released a new app that works, shame it took so long. App doesn't work just like other reviews. Clearly no support from GME as reviews with same issue of app opening and crashing date back to July 2020.
Here's an update for all of you, I've been told that it is an Android compatibility problem with a new version of the app due out 15/2.Apple not affected.
App just crashes tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting phone. No success. Phone is a Google Pixel 4 XL
Paid the over priced fee for the app connection feature and it doesn't support Android 11, app crashes and no matter how many times I reinstall it or turn off my phone still crashes, pretty disappointed actually with the overall product as sometimes I can't hear anyone because of the stupid zones. Should of stayed with my uniden!
