Something's wrong with this app you have to keep it on screen otherwise it will shut off

I have anticipated this app since the apple one came out. I'm sad that I have had so many problems with it. It cuts out a lot, sometimes sounds like Alvan and the chipmunks have taken over, and never works in the background. I have to have the app on-screen otherwise it will stop playing. :'(

Love Pat and Aj in the morning. Now I can wake up to them! Woo!
When listening to live music the app tends to crash quite often for me. I'll have it connected to my speaker and doing something else on my phone and the music stops often.
