Yahoo Mail – Stay Organized!

This app is awful. I really only have it because I've had a yahoo email for so long and dont want to switch providers at the moment. While it is convenient than going to the web browser, it is not user friendly. Im constantly missing emails or have to do an extensive search to find them. I've deleted emails and then it appears that everything is deleted and whn i close the app and go back in, they appear again. It seems to be alot of glitches that need to be fixed. just use the web browser vers.

Too many bugs since the last update. Selecting a word becomes hard when you click somewhere on the text but the click jumps anywhere on the screen. After all the troubles encountered when writing, the final boss is sending the mail. It gets stuck in the outbox for as long as an hour before being sent.

I was having difficulty with slowness, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now I am getting advertisements. One account is duplicated and I can't delete one of them. For one I get the message that the account is inactive and I need to sign in again, but it does the same thing everytime I try to do something with it. I pay a yearly fee to have excellent email and I am certainly no getting it. Very frustrating!+AWS

Yahoo is the best email experience out there for personal use. It's not as complicated as gmail and you can select all mails with one click option to delete. You can create as many personal folders as you like. It is very similar to Outlook in business. Very user friendly. You can change themes to adjust your personal taste. Yahoo mail is limitless.

I don't like it but it's free and had for 20 years. Everyone already knows my email address for a long time. Have to contact everyone to change it. Too much normal mail goes to spam and what should go to spam doesn't. More advertising too now, why is "shopping" in my email bottom tabs since the upgrade? Keep getting alerts for it too. The more it changes, the less I like it. Just need basic email. Yahoo has had tons of security breaches over 20 years. It's just becoming frustrating.

Was a great app but I am having trouble accessing my emails. My new emails don't appear after awhile. I have to turn phone off and on. Then the emails will show up. Then about a day later my emails will stop again. Very frustrating. I am afraid I will not get a timely emails since no red flag comes up saying I am not receiving emails. My desk top and laptop have no problem. My phone stops receiving emails at home or away. Please help. Thanks

The app is deleting random messages when they arrive, they are not in the deleted folder and I cannot seem to recall them from anywhere. I have missed very important emails due to this bug and now have stopped using the app and instead log on using a browser. Please fix as this is a very serious issue. Thanks Edit: The emails aren't missing, they arrive normal but once I've viewed it and gone back to the inbox it's completely disappeared, even from the trash folder.

This has never been perfect but it keeps creating new problems. My latest gripe concerns involuntary deletion. I received a mail and replied and then received a reply in turn from the originator. I have the thread but the original message hasn't been stored with the follow-ups. Infuriating and I keep telling myself I'll ditch this eventually but that's hard to do with an address that has been in use for about a quarter of a century!

I have used yahoo mail and their app for many years and never had any issues. This new app is AWFUL. It's hard to follow and read with all the ads placed in it. I struggle to receive new messages. It'll tell me there are new emails, but when I refresh, nothing shows. It also takes forever to send an email and I have to keep the app open for an extended period of time in order to ensure its sent. Please bring back the old app. It was easy to use and worked extremely well.

I've used this app for years and it's never been this bad before. I've been having issues with it for several months and the recent update didn't help at all. The app never wants to load new or unread emails. Sometimes when I open the app it even shows as if I have no emails at all for any of my folders. It makes it almost impossible to check my emails, it takes 20 mins sometimes to finally load most of them.

After using Yahoo Mail for years, I would've normally given it a higher rating but recently I've been having issues like other reviewers. For some reason, the app won't show new emails, load an opened email, and the notifications come through delayed or not at all. I was told that means to update but I've updated and deleted and reinstalled and still the same problem. At this point, might as well just sign in via web browser. Bit disappointing since the app is supposed to make things easier.

I have used this app for years, and just over the past week, the inbox will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, updated, cleared cache, update my android... Nothing works. I have had to get my email through a regular website. If this issue is not fixed soon, I am going to set up an email with another service. This app has gotten horrible!

Anyone reading this and having problems accessing their email, from the app. I may have a solution. Instead of clearing cache from phone settings-apps-...Open the Yahoo email app. Click the circle on the top-left corner with your first initial. Then click settings and about 2/3 a way down the list click cache (clear). It seems to have worked for me. Hopefully for you as well!

Takes days to update my inbox even when I make sure the app is updated. Has made me miss important emails multiple times. And lately when I've been trying to send emails they're not actually sending and there's no notification that it failed to send. So you don't notice that it didn't actually send until you go looking in your sent folder and don't see anything there so then you check your draft folder and it says it failed to send.

I like the design and layout of the app however there are some major flaws that need to be addressed. One is that it is nearly impossible to send emails. When you try to send an email it just sits in the outbox and most of the time it sends an error stating it couldn't send then you have to resend it. And second is notifications. It has a huge issue sending notifications as well. Please fix these basic functions asap! I emailed the you (developer) more details.

Terrible spam filter (if there is one at all). No block feature, or at least it's not easily accessible. Increasingly annoying to use this app. I've had Yahoo mail for over a decade, but it's past time to find a new email app. Edit reply: They aren't newsletters. I marked them as spam for a while. That didn't change that I was getting similar spam repeatedly at a similar rate, hence this review. But thanks for the reply. I hope you all make it better!

Can't read print or see images because it is too small. When trying enlarge the screen moves and changes page. Simply unusable. Update 5-2022. The app continually locks up when trying to side swipe to delete messages. I tried deleting cache and deleting and reinstalling app with no improvement. Simply unusable for an important app such email.

the app freezes very often and doesn't always refresh. there is a constant delay of sending out emails, where I have to resend the emails several times because they won't go through. the app works half the time, which is very frustrating. I prefer using the website rather than the app

Reliable. Never any problems sending or receiving email. Storage is the best out of all other free email providers. Attachment feature is great too, so easy to find previous sent or received files or photos to view or include in a new email to send to someone else. Account key/2FA works flawless as well when checking email from a public computer. Everything just works, may not have all the bells and whistles of Gmail or Outlook but does everything I need email to do simply and effortlessly.

Every since they updated, deleting all messages now locks you out for an excruciatingly long period as it displays "deleting messages..." then "messages successfully deleted" when previously it was just a small notification at the bottom that didn't disturb your work flow. You now have to just sit there and watch as your screen is blacked out for an extended period of time, unable to do anything.

Update 05/2022: app freezes when I delete an email. Wish a conversation moved into a folder could archive back into that folder like Gmail labels. Dislike deals posted at top of some emails - can I turn it off? Search doesn't locate really old emails. Difficult to edit email addresses once entered into to/cc/bcc fields. Difficult to reply from the email I want in conversation. Requests customize inbox when I already have and often when I tap an email notification.

Over the last month or two most of my saved contacts, when receiving emails from them, goes to the spam folder. I mark "not spam" and they still continue to go to the spam folder. I have tried to read on this and nothing fixes it. I deleted the cache and restarted my phone, which did not help. Hopefully it gets fixed soon!

This app has been running so slow the past few months. It takes around 1 min just to pull up my inbox. I've also never understood why there's not an option to ask for a read receipt when sending an email or flagging it as important. I don't see these options on my app. The other major issue is your search option. It's impossible to search for an old email sent or in trash. I have to scroll through the trash emails and have noticed that there are entire weeks missing. Trash the app start over

All my emails in one place, one app for all! And I personally find the interface more user-friendly than any other I've tried. I've used it for many years; I trust this app (which is saying something, cause I don't trust much) and never give reviews. Not given any compensation, this is just my honest opinion for a service I will continue to use as long as I can.

I have used the android Yahoo app for years. For the past week it has crashed everytime I am just trying to write a reply email. The cursor doesn't flash and it just freezes. I have cleared the data and cache and forced stop and uninstall reinstalled several times and it just won't work properly... very frustrating when I am just trying to reply to someone. Please can you advise if there are any current problems? I don't know what to do... Thanks

This app use to great but now it's just plain awful. For like the past week my new emails won't show up hardly ever. And starting today I would get email notifications but the actual emails won't show up in my inbox. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and now i can't even sign in! I've restarted my phone, cleared cache, cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and nothing! I can't even sign in on the web browser either! This is ridiculous and disappointing!

The same thing other are complaining about it will freeze up in the middle of composing a message, it is a resource hog all the sudden, gets stuck randomly, very slow. Cleared the cache, uninstall reinstalled, put to sleep, not put to sleep, optimize, not optimized no difference even switched keyboards.
