Yale CCTV

Brilliant! Reluctantly (due to reviews) download this to replace v1. 5 as it stopped working. I absolutely love it. So far it's been 100% reliable via WiFi and almost as good on 4g. I have 8 cameras and the app on two phones I'm blown away by the new features over and above v1. 5 and the fact it's a free app I find astonishing. Had to phone customer when installing on 2nd phone but the issue turned out to be pilot error on my part but Stephen at customer support was amazing got me running 5*

Such a poor app. Video freezes constantly to the point where you are lucky if you get to view 10 seconds of live footage. Downloading footage takes up to an hour, even for a short period of time. It took me half an hour to download 5 minutes worth of footage. Also if you leave the app whilst it's downloading it is likely to stop and not download the entire footage, but rather just a few minutes worth. Poorly made, poor grammar usage. Got far better results with a Vimtag product.

Terrible app, reviewing video function is next to useless, almost impossible to scroll and select the specific time period you want. Worse, after set up it connects first time, but then fails to connect on subsequent attempts. The only work around seems to be deleting my system from the device list and sdding it back .... Every time I use the app. No support from Yale on their site, app not updated in years. Total rubbish, avoid.

Outdated app for older Android models. Can't use the majority of options when watching footage, default viewing is in SD so it's a pain having to switch to HD every time. Navigation could be more user friendly. Not the quality I expect when I've just spent hundreds of pounds on the cctv cameras

The ui isn't great. Forget trying to find a specific time on a video as you have to manually scroll and when doing so, the video is also trying to buffer. There needs to be an easier way to get to specific times faster than what's on offer

Vast improvement on previous app. Smoother if you choose to use dynamic DNS provider such as NO-IP. Just port 34567 to forward on the hub settings. Remote video can timeout or not find file and when you go back to live they can all be stuck buffering so you have to restart app.

Abysmal. Completely unable to log on, being issued a message stating "Network Error" or "User does not exist", despite having made an account. The trouble-shooting solutions have not helped, and neither have I had any luck with trying to use the app on other mobile devices. As far as I can tell, the app is completely non-functional.

Switch from HD to SD to continue using on Android 12. App hasn't been updated since 2018 and no longer works with latest version of Android. If you click on a camera, see the feed flash for 1 second before crashing, then try opening a camera and IMMEDIATELY hitting the HD/SD button to turn the feed to SD (low res). This works for me, pointless having paid a premium for HD cameras...but better than nothing. Come on Yale, please pay AssaAbloy to update App, you are supposed to be premium brand

Needs updating The colour coding doesn't work so that you can't see detection easily. Needs show movment only option and upgrading to 2021 version not stuck in 2018. Red: continues so no detection I assume Whites: doesn't show anything skips everything white Blue: skips again Sort this out and it will be a big improvement

This app and system is literally the worst thing to try and set up I've been on 2 hours and I'm still no further forward after the app conflicts with the instructions and the system being setup to a point where you need to be an astrophysicist to figure them out.

Wow much better than the previous app. Can zoom in/out. Works instantly on home WiFi. Bit slower on 4G but still good. Big improvement. Also easier to add the device as the scan the barcode on the main cc TV unit does all the set up!

Edit: Reduced to 1 star. After years Yale still haven't improved this. Disappointing software, don't bother, there will be better available by companies that actually improve thier big ridden stuff over time. Could be much better. The playback is slow (if it works), it's clunky. Just generally needs more work, it's been out for years but clearly Yale aren't bothering to try and make this better.

Update: This app is horrendous, if I could I'd give this app no star rating ... Serious buffering issues even on local, what a pile of garbage. Working now but still some annoying buffing issues, I have a fairly decent internet connection speed both at home and when out.

I have 4 cameras and alarm system working together. I was lucky to pay half price for the whole system at maplis due to shop closing down. I have to say I am very happy with the system. I am watching a house about 2000 miles away from me. Cctv is great on night time as well. the system works fine never had any problems. the app is ok too.

This apps is rubbish and keeps telling me now it was developed for an older version of my current Android Apps. If so Yale, UPGRADE THE APPS. Last upgrade was 2018. Never been happy with this system and think it's time to change it for a system that is reliable.

The App is 100% horendous. Never loads on time, when it does eventually load you then have to change it to HD which then has to load again. It needs updating to work with latest ios.

Requires urgent update for new android software - I'm using Samsung S20 Ultra 5G but app consistently says required update due to being made for older version of android but there is no update. Just spent a lot of money on this new cctv system so please fulfill the package as advertised with the package. Thank you

Everyone who is having problems take a look at the "qvis explorer" app or the "XMEYe" app. It's the same cheap stuff rebranded as yell. The other apps tend to be more stable

Works but hasn't been updated as of late and causes some problems on android 10. Wish there was dark mode support also.

Using the Beta app at the moment, it's ok does the job but needs tweeking so that you can accurately pin point times in history, as at the moment it's guess work.

Very poor app, try viewing when away from home and all it does is freezes. Take your money for there cctv system claiming you can view it on an app then don't invest in the app. Yale cctv will be going and replaced with a decent company with an app that works.

Absolute garbage, app doesnt even recognise serial no or qr code of my camera, wont install, no reading, nothing. Rubbish! and no, I have not imstalled wrong app! im a website creator and programmer, i understand the tech! this is just kak!

Always crashing and losing signal . Will be looking for a new system i recon. Still the same rubbish app . 2021 after having it for 5 years now . Rejoiced to 0.01 of a star 🌟. Buy a Swan cctv and get a better app.

worked for a few weeks, now says the password has changed but unfortunately there is no where on the app to enter a password so essentially I can no longer use the app.

Do not buy‼ NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.. YALE CCTV system claims that you can view your cameras anytime and anywhere when your not at home, This is false advertising and untrue and they know it!, they are selling these cameras knowing that their app does not work!, you CAN'T view your cameras while not at home due to the app malfunctioning, they have multiple complaints and no desire to fix it, DO NOT BUY🔴⚠️⚠️⚠️

Hard to watch play backs and it's always freezing or buffering. Too annoying and a waste of money.

New additions to update, can zoom in on seperate cameras on your device and sound is now available on device. Its a slightly different layout than before, but so far so good !

Hi..was working well at first, but now everytime I want to check out my cams keeps saying " device not online " why is that? I have unlimited data, so that's not a isue! ?

Thus no longer works with newer version of Android. PLEASE update so it can be used. Worked very well on my old android phone.

Xmeye app works with the Yale system better. This won't let me playback anything before midnight today. As others say replace this with xmeye, it is more stable.
