April 2022. I have not changed my opinion. Wish I'd bought it for less. Update, Jan 2021. . Gone down to one star. Does it REALLY have to be THAT difficult to add a cam? I've reset the cam successfully, will not let me use the cam though. SO complicated to set up. Thought it was a really good home cam and app. Until the first time I needed to add it to WiFi rather than via ethernet. Very disappointed, after several attempts, both close to, and in the room next to the router.

Good app (depending on connection) the setting up instructions of wireless home cameras is very poor. The easy way to set them up if written properly would be so much more easier. I actually wrote clear easy instructions on Amazon to help other users and future buyers as the current instructions are just confusing and over the top and people were stating they returned cameras due to how difficult it was to set up. Once set up it's a good buy with a yale camera and app combined.

Relatively straightforward app, ok to view your cameras but two major flaws imho. Excessive battery drain and motion detection notifications are a bit hit and miss, in fact they have stopped completely now I've restricted background use to save my phone battery. I really like Yale's physical hardware but the app side of things is lacking.

The cameras are ok, but the app, my god it's terrible! The lag, battery drain and crashes are like something you'd expect from an amateur app developer in its testing phase. The fact the app hasn't updated in over a year tells me they no longer care. Update 16/10/20 cannot connect to cameras through the app, have reset cameras, app cannot find them when attempting setup. Complete waste of money, too old now to return for refund.

Constant connection issues with the latest update. I use more than one device to view the camera, but only view from one at a time. it rarely allows me to view on any device now. Chews up the battery faster than anything.

Update error .. Update error . The cameras work ok ( took a while ) but the app keeps going blank saying ' update error' . Sometimes if i restart my phone it works, have tried uninstalling and reinstalling app. It usually works the first time it is re installed then says ' update error' again the next time it is started. I see some of these reviews get responses so am hoping the powers that be might have an answer to this problem.

Great to install Blackberry/Android - Awful on Apple. Tried 15 times to configure on her Apple - 0 success. Tried once on my Blackberry Key1 android - success. Can then also use it with an apple login. Would suggest anyone setting up do so on a blackberry/android then you/your partner can simply log in rather than do the full set up on cr@p apple. Apple set up menus don't even match the yale manual diagrams! 0 frustration, 100% success on android for set up. Downgraded 3 to 2 stars -Poor Control

This app has limmited functionality. Still can not delete an device on the app. No forgottwn password option. This is really a bad experiance. Can not even use my hardware now. Totally locked. There is no but no options available in the ap. No settings nothing.

Nightmare to set the camera up. The app is useless. So difficult to synchronise the camera with smartphone. After nearly two hours I gave up. I started to think, I wasted money buying the camera, unless someone show me how to make it work.

The most recent update has changed something and now the app (even while closed) is consistently taking up to 60% of my battery within 6/7 hours! and this is still after notifications for the app have been turned off!! "performance improvements" don't make me laugh!

Complete waste of time. Reset does not work, constantly asks me for a password etc and will not connect via wifi or Lan. Customer services dont want to know and even after following all their limited instructions, they now want me to video everything i am doing to reset this rubbish thing!! Buy at your peril, this is only worthy as a paper weight, and a poor one at that!!!! I would not sell on as it would only frustrate yet another individual who may not have the patience needed for such junk.

Absolutely garbage app and hardware, continually fails to connect to IP camera, multiple resets and reinstall to get a connection and then only wired, will not make a WiFi connection. When it finally connects to cam it chews through the phone battery like a rabid dog

this app doesn't allow to select exact time frame for playback which is a big downside. Developer can you please add this feature on as it is very annoying to search time from midnight to midnight rather than let's say 2 hours time frame or whatever this might be thank you.

Does not connect to house system as described. Do not record even with an SD card in the slot and doesn't let me log in sometimes saying to many other users in the system when it's only me! No reply from the help team!!

Awful Camera/App, Purchased from B&Q as a Reduced Price, Can't not Connect to WiFi or Ethernet, I've Had Many of Different WiFi Cameras in the Past and this has got to the Worst One I've come across, It's safe to say ill be returning the Camera and buying a Cheaper Unbranded One on Ebay which will serve It's purpose better.

Won't commission a second time and can't watch more than one video after another without resetting list of video which is very slow. I expect I will throw this away soon.

Just keep crashing... and now not showing the cameras at all. Over and over again and delete and reinstall. These are now on Ebay with the hope of better ones! The app REALLY let's it down. Terrible and they seem to do NOTHING about it.

Awful, impossible to reset. Online instructions say to delete the camera from the app but you can't. If you try and add the camera new it will scan the barcode and then asks for the device username and password. You click the forgotten part, it tells you to press and hold the reset button on the bottom of the device. Try again after the reset (by rescanning the barcode) and it says 'Success!'. Except you need the device username and password which don't match the defaults printed on the base.

Once the cameras are connected the app is superb. But it's frustrating trying to get the cameras to connect to the app itself. Once connected its excellent.

Does not connect to camera, ive reset,ive restarted the WPS and it just gets to 30% and times out,so frustrating, you would think Yale would be easy to connect,It was expensive so I can't throw in the bin which is where it belongs..then again Yale have their money so not bothered. Will never buy Yale, DONOT buy this product,wish I had read reviews as they all read the same. I have bought a cheap one and it connects instantly....

I was very excited about it and got my friends to buy it as well. It worked amazingly well for the 1st month. Problems started when I ran a firmware update on the 2nd Yale camera I got. I hope they can get back to me & provide the support I need to get them back up and running soon. They go $250USD here in South Africa.

My home view is not connecting at all, I was using for more than a year, due to covid we disconnected the home view camera as we are all at home. When I try to use it now its not getting connected via the app.

This product is the worst piece of technology I have come across it will not configure to my wifi I have tried and tried again it gets to 30% and then says sorry it has failed to connect very very frustrated with this would not recommend this product to anyone

It was working great. After firmware update it will not work at all. So frustrating. Nightmare to set up. The instructions are useless. Off to get a refund. It's not fit for purpose.

connects to the camera when it feels like it, most of the time you just watch the wheel go round saying connecting then time out, super fast Wi-Fi and strong signal, I have little confidence to be honest.

Useless waste of money. Do not buy this camera. App doesn't work all the time one minute notifications then nothing for weeks. Contacted Yale by phone and email no reply from either source. No point in having a camera for security of it doesn't work and Yale won't help even when item still under warranty
