Unable to use with my existing Google account for a long time (at least for all 10.x branch) and still no resolution. Some versions just throw errors, some (newer) requires to create YandexID after I click "log in using Google" even all other Yandex apps (Go, Navi, Food, etc) works fine just out of the box. I definitely do not want to create *new* YandexID if I choose to login with existing *Google* one associated with other Ya services. Useless in current implementation.
Really helpful app where you can get oriented on the ground without any issues. Many cities, towns and villages are well-drawn, so traveling will be pretty comfortable and safe.
Sorry Yandex, a long way to go before you can compete with Google maps unfortunately. A very basic on using GPS and old maps. No street view or recommended businesses or even up to date business information.
After clearing my search history, it shows "clock" symbol if I searched the place again, which means that the history isn't completely cleared. Device: Android-Samsung Galaxy J4 Device Language: English Edit: Regarding the history, this is not the correct behavior. It's deleted but if I searched again, it will appear in the suggestions with "searched" icon, but it shouldn't.
I have had many bad experiences. I was given an address for a meeting, and yandex gave me the route to another number in the street, without asking if it's ok... 1 hour late because you can't see the change without having arrived... Other case, I made an address a favorite, and now there is a beautiful icon in the center of the address, exactly at the same place where text of the map is written... great I cannot make a screenshot now, I have to write by myself the missing text. Thank you yandex.
I am from India and this aap is good but I think it needs to improve something like name, address and add some information in this app which is needed in it.
Yandex really provide better service then Google but in security matter Yandex stay behind as compared to Google because Google provide world class elite service but Yandex have normal security encryption but it's not easy to break. I am using Yandex service from 7 to 8 Years without any problem & I suggest other to use Yandex product because it's available for us at very affordable rate as we compare to Google. Using Yandex Disk for unlimited video storage to preserve my memory forever 😊😊😘.!
Each time the app was updated all these years, I had to re-enable the option 'Routes in Navigator', because it was disabled by the update. It was really disgusting. The latest update just removed the switch, so now you have to create routes in Navi from the scratch. Well, at least the Maps team no longer pretends to be cooperating with Navi. But come on guys, you can't beat the Yandex Navi UI/UX no matter how you try. Just make a good map, leave navigation to the Navi team!
Easy to use. Able to share a route (with multiple stops) feature is so good. It would be great if you can reverse a route including multiple stops with a one-click action.
Terrible app. Every time I'm using it, I'm late for 30 minutes because of disgusting routing. Google Maps is perfect, compared to Y. Maps.
No offline map to Philippines,and the route the maps suggestions is very wrong,need more work.
Overall, this app is really helpful navigating the city. The routes are accurate and never fail me when I need them. Thank you. The only thing i don't like is when I switch to a different app and then go back to maps, it wipes out my route and goes back to the home screen and i have to enter the address again. This becomes very cumbersome as I am a heavy user of the app and switch between apps frequently. Thanks for your response. I checked and it seems that background navigation is enabled.
Excellent app. Based on my experience, this app is better than google maps
I prefer using Yandex products for everything as an alternative to Google, but for where I live and many places I've visited Yandex.Maps isn't a viable alternative yet. Many streets/roads are missing and the majority of places are missing as well in South Florida, USA and in all of Suriname, and Venezuela. I'd love to see this app grow to be a direct competitor with Google Maps on a more global scale. It would be a nice feature to submit missing roads/places on Yandex.Maps since there isn't much in places I've been. I will continue to support this app, but it is not my primary app due to my region. I recommend a different Google Maps alternative for the same reason. *Sputnik Maps is a good web alternative for my region, but it lacks a mobile application.
Nice but when i switch to another app in navigation mode it displays an extremely annoying route notification on top of screen, which basically makes phone unusable.
It's a really good app and i would have kept it downloaded if there were offline maps for my country and if there was information for the public transport also. My country is Bulgaria. As soon as you add offline maps I will start using the app. There aren't many apps that offer good offline navigation. Otherwise everything else is perfect.
Sweet. I wish it will have an option to download sat map by selecting region on a screen.
For Russia the app is convenient and I like extra features that show public transit. However, the app is rather slow and something is not quity comfortable in the interface. Most importantly, the the direction the phone is facing is super wonky, it literally points in the wrong direction half the time and starts spinning like mad. The amount of time i spend trying to orient myself... and then i go use google.
Love the look, feel and functionality of this app! Keep it up!
Love the app. Although ads are sometimes annoying (because they are located on the place of important controls).
Great app, much better than Google maps. But please stop forcing navigation in Y.Maps and turning off switching to Y.Navi! Y.Navi is much more convenient than navigation in Y.Maps as the latter is too small once installed in a car holder far away from the user. 3D navigation provides better visibility and more details than 2D mode, especially on road forks or other types of road junctions. I miss my turn much frequently when using Y.Maps navi mode.
The app used to be good but nowadays it just crashes constantly. Also RANDOMLY stops showing some bus stops in Moscow. -- Reply to the developer: I already had a sour experience reporting an issue with the PC version of Yandex Maps on Linux that has never been fixed. It was a total waste of time, so not doing that again, sorry.

I must admit that Yandex.Maps is better than Google Maps in matter of UI. I will truly grateful if I can use it in Bali, Indonesia. There's still many missing places and streets. You may want to consider improving the maps, since there is some Russian and European people coming here.
Very good map in terms of features but I'm currently living in Canada and the map doesn't have all the places in Canada so Yandex need to add all the places in Canada and to be more specific I live in city "Mississauga" and the province is "Ontario" in Canada so Yandex maps need to have all the places around the globe and if it doesn't what's the point. So I like Yandex because of its browser and I would also like to give it's maps a try. Hope you guys will do it. Best of luck
Seems to be a lack of configuration options eg. why, when i've selected 'Miles' as the units to use, does it keep telling me to make turns in "metres" ? Where are "yards"!? And why am I seeing buttons/ads in Russian when my language is set as English!? UPDATE: completely useless as it doesn't have worldwide offline maps - mainly Eastern Europe.
