Wallet
Having a Yandex.Money Wallet allows you to do the following:
— save bank card details and pay in one tap — setup autopayments: for your phone, internet, etc.— track history of your payments and deposits— activate Yandex.Money bank card— add payments to your Favorites if you want them to be at hand (for instance, adding money to your travel card)— add money to your Wallet from a bank card or find the nearest location for adding without commission— add money to your Yandex.Money account from a card or find the nearest location for adding— check with your balance.
If you do not have a Wallet, you can start one right from the app.

Contactless Payment with Phones via HCE
You can pay with your phone at offline stores even if you left your wallet with bank cards and cash at home. Money will be debited from your Wallet on Yandex. For more information view ‘Contactless Payments’ section from the main menu.
Important: the section ‘Contactless Payments’ is only viewed in our app for NFC-enabled devices that provide HCE (Host Card Emulation) payments.

Paying by QR Code
Scan a QR code on a bill to pay in one tap: the app will determine the recipient, amount, and other payment details.
The button ‘Pay by a QR code’ is in the main menu.

Most of the operations are commission free. For example, adding money to ‘Troyka’ card or paying home utilities. If a commission is applied to a payment, you will see the exact amount you are charged before pressing ‘Pay’.

The app is secured with an access code that you create. Even if your phone falls into the wrong hands, your money will remain secure.
Payments with a bank card are protected according to the international standard PCI DSS, which is a set of requirements for online operations developed by Visa and MasterCard.The important payments from your Yandex.Money Wallet are secured by one-time passwords: you can activate and manage them on our site’s full version.

Everything is great. Although, it wouldn't hurt having the ability to add club/discount/etc. cards (like perekrestok) so you could show it (its barcode, to be specific) to the cashier at checkout, similarly to gpay. And a black theme would also be much appreciated.
Yandex is very badly designed. You could transfer the money, but it’s impossible to use them and return the money back. Support only make you to go through their impossible and not client oriented identification process. Useless app for not Russian citizens. Be attentive and think twice before starting using Yandex app.
After installation I had to accept the terms and condition. Parts of it was in English and parts in Russian. I tried translating the Russian parts with google. This took a while till I got so confused I gave up. Also if google translates incorrectly I might be mislead on the terms. Would appreciate if there can be a complete English and Russian version please to create transparency.
Super! Many foreign people live/travel in Russia and we really like to use local services and apps. But not so many of us speaks Russian - all we need that localization/English language and we are more in with you 😉 5* comes when everything in Y-app is localized to English. Now many parts are in Russian.
The app looks nice but Very difficult to do anything. Identification but the language is always in Russia. it's useless if you don't live Russia. Very bad experience
Good app, more people should use it. I use it in Russia, and have not tried to use it in other countries yet, but here it works smoothly. It integrates well with Yandex taxi and maps etc.
very bad experience - do not install this app : everything is in russian, no other language available. i've transfered money w/o any issue, but i cannot transfer it to any other account. it looks like a scam and thievery more than an honest online payment system like paypal. I'll report this online money stealing app to google play service.
Worst experience I ever had. 1. Y.money lets you to replenish into anonymous account, but you can't ever use it, because you need to identify. (even for payments inside Russia, tried qiwi and mobile number beeline) 2. You can't identify unless: 1. you are living in major city 2. or online if you have credit history. I don't leave in major city and I don't have credit history so can't identify online. Amazing 10/10 Don't even bother to use any of yandex services except taxi.
I like this app, but there is not much I can do because I am not verified and the verification application is only in Russin plz gives more possibilities for translation. I admire the way Yandex apps are careful to respond to every comment, but I have no options when it comes to user experience in language choices. Plz fix
The most unfriendly app I ever used. I transferred money to the wallet and now I cannot move it anywhere because I cannot verify my identity - UK is not even listed in the Help section. And I am not arranging document verification with lawyers etc. That is ridiculous. I need my money back please!
YooMoney makes getting verified, and therefore being able to use most features of the app, very difficult for users outside of Russia and CIS countries. Additionally, I have lost a lot of confidence in the app after the acquisition by Sberbank and rebrand from Yandex Money to YooMoney. My final complaint is that the new name sounds very strange in English.
Yes, first of all I really appreciate the made efforts for this app. Secondly, yeah, I've gotten my Virtual Card and it was all good, but when I attemptted to link it with google play store it says you have to try different card. Let this be short and simple, please you developer answer for my comment handling the issue.
and why critical info like that is not in app? change of ownership of a company becomes pain for app users. and lying about limits. even if ui barely good, app works without any problems. supports NFC payment, easy wireless card creation and use.
Super easy to set up and use. As a foreigner in Russia without a paypass card, this allowed me to use NFC on my phone to make payments much easier.
This app Only for Russian citizens! Yandex - the worst and terrible platform, don't want help users and make you ONLY follow their procedures and requirements. Client's needs means nothing, policies and procedures are the main. After addin money, be ready to problems - no transaction are allowed. Это приложение Только для граждан России! С деньгами будут проблемы. Wow! After reading reply from support I want to give a free advice: Yandex, run away from online services, be offline.
Great app especially for buying by contactless. Some pages are only in Russian and not translated to English. hope you fix them
Please add Russian/English language manual switch to the settings menu. Application's dependency on the language of OS is sometimes inconvenient, so the ability to bypass this dependency would be highly appreciated.
The connecting is very pur...It can't able to work with slow internet connections. If you out of contry it will be run with many failure...
Do not use this app, they just stole you, I transfer to my account, but can't send to any card, I also can't get back money. Why they allow to fill your balance, if you can't use it? What the hell is going on in Russia. This means that there is no any law.
My only problem is I camt understand the app. Half of it is in Russian, and I dont speak that language if you could finish translating the app, I would give it 5 stars
Well, if you didn't know yet - Yandex is for Russian Federation. You will meet some issues in other countries. App works good, but I can't use all features. Upd: I got identified status at October 2018, and also I have the debt card. I can't even top up my balance of phone number. Sometimes I use the Yandex debt card in cafe or stores, it were looking nice, but now it looks like well-worn. Well, I just want to say: "I can't use all features".
