Yandex.Weather

Very nice and accurate weather app, I particularly like the weather map that shows precipitation, including the next 2 hours. Have suggested being able to open this straight from the app (selecting opening page), and also the possibility of a sound notification for coming rain - hope these can be included in the future. Also, it would be nice to get rid of Russian advarts if possible! Overall an excellent app.

Great graphic interface (transparent <-> opague) but the Celsius-to-Fahrenheit conversion doesn't translate across to the other Yandex apps (browser, search engine, etc) and no mph windspeed....only meters-per-second and kph. To get the widget to show in Fahrenheit I had to download the Meteum app (another Yandex app). Their support team is working on it though.

What is the point of paying for Yandex Plus if you still get ads? That, and the app is clearly designed to flash marketing info in your face instead of being a weather app.

Like everything from Yandex, reliable, nice to look at. Beautiful layout and always a bit more than you already expect. Thanks for your remarkable service for all your products

Disappointed that there is no weather map for Canada. I love this app but map is important. Will have to uninstall if it doesn't come.

I use this app. It's a good weather app, if it has round-corner widgets, it will seem very nice appearance.

Destroyed by designers and advertising. I mean overdesigned And too much adv inside of this app

After thorough testing, this became the only weather app I use. Perfect in any aspect. The widget is great as well. Note to developers: the map itself and the labels (Молнии, условия исп., сейчас) are in Russian which contrasts with the rest of the English interface, this is the only thing that bothers me.

Sept 2019: By far most accurate weather forecast platform out there. I find it usually being half an hour to one hour late with predictions (when sudden changes in weather like storms, showers, etc.) I guess that feedback option, where every user gets a chance to send back the info on real time conditions, makes it so accurate. Sept 2020: I haven't seen such a regression in quality of an app appearance/organization after the latest update like with this one. What happened Yandex?! Removing it.

I haven't discovered all the features yet, but for now I can say it does what expected of it, I'd suggest three mild changes though: first most is that it desperately needs a dark theme; second notification panel background slider is not properly responsive, it is hard to start moving and it is visually hard to remember the position, and since you need to match the result in the panel the constant switching appears -- it needs a make over; finally, current K-Index information is missing.

Been using for years, great app and the ads aren't intrusive. Different weather outside? Report it in the app, don't like ads? Disable it in the about menu, want notifications? Enable it in the settings, this app has almost everything you could want or need in a weather application, there isn't anything I would change honestly. Keep up the good work and take my five stars as always!

Good app, it works smoothly and provides accurate forecasts. However, it'd be also nice to have automatic dark/night color mode (which's based on the phone settings) for all widgets. It's not very handy to choose the background color for widgets between white and black.

The best app for advertising and not for the weather.

More accurate than others and great design

The app came back to it's previous version on its own. And it really is better than the updated one. However there was one feature we enjoyed greatly in the new version. The one that told us about the lowest and highest temperatures at an exact day. That was a fun feature really.

Update review. It's nice app on first sight, also 2nd, 3rd and so on, but then u realize the app grows bigger and bigger without any valid reason and it takes developers months to fix it (if they care). Update 2: yeah, but a weather app does not really need to grow 25 MB of data in storage per month. It's tremendously inefficient in terms of storage handling.

It seems that crashes I experienced were caused by something wrong with my phone's firmware. I don't have them anymore after rebooting. Great application, but I gave it only 4 stars because of ads. I'd be glad to pay to remove ads but it seems this option becomes less and less popular.

The app is great, especially widgets. Thanks to yandex developers and designers. But the app has a downside too. After using for about a year, it contains 1.62GB of data. You don't usually expect that from a weather application. I believe it's a technical issue that can be solved.

I live in a place with fun weather and this app is the business. Edited to add: first of all, the update is fugly. Severely. Second, my default language changed and there's not even a menu option to change it back - you gotta fix that. Keep trying, because this ain't it.

One of the most accurate app with basic info. After disabling ads (in About) 5 stars even some graphic missing (precipitation, wind, temp) because it is much quicker and easier to understand (3 days will be enough). The best animation of clouds in next 2 hours. Dark mode missing.

Impossible to rate it higher. When autumn or winter comes, this app turns into kaleidoscope of bad news - forecast is rarely accurate, temperatures are approximate. And the app is constantly self-promoting. Its accuracy has been checked many times in Russia with poor result. The only thing which is more or less accurate is atmospheric pressure.

Love the app. Asking users about the weather around for verification is the unique and smart idea

Fantastic app. Accurate, informative, and pleasing to the eye. EDIT: 08/18/2019.An update was introduced that causes it to display the temperature in Celsius. The option to display it in Fahrenheit is gone. EDIT: 05/27/20. The bug apparently has been fixed a while back. It is now a first class app.
