yaxim - XMPP/Jabber client

Connection issues. The latest update you can connect from the mobile network, but not from wifi. The obvious difference is that your LAN probably doesn't support ipv6. Solution is to manually enter the ipv4 address of the server as custom hostname.

Just switched from Xabber - their client doesn't work well on Samsung phones. Yaxim is a relief after the above mentioned client. A feature request. It'd be cool if Yaxim showed pictures right in the chat window without having to open a broswer (Sawim could do that). Another important thing missing is room management and moderator's commands. At least I couldn't find how to do that.

It almost provides a chat screen. Back to my linux or unix boxes to get the xmpp client like i want to use. Limited functionality. Too bad it does not function in a way similar to pudgin. Xmpp connection worked. No true chat screen.

it does not support images. but in the description. they have added.

Seems great.. Seems like a copy of Bruno with slight changes. If it's anything as good as Bruno, it's great. Will test it out.

The yax.im network seems to be broken. It has booted my previously working username and won't allow me to create a new one. And NONE of their support methods listed on their home page work. Such a waste.

If the network state changes, the app becomes completely inaccessible for an indefinite period of time. It keeps crashing

Can't change the default port from 5222 to other. The option is there but it don't save the port and so unable to create a connection .. a silly mistake..uninstalling

Cant connect to openfire server, always got ssl library error.. Dunno why, other client like xabber work flawlessly.

I need xep-280. Because i use laptol and mobile to chat. It's yaxim only good supported

Nice and simple client no bloaty features. Would like if it had settings for keep-alive though since there's some servers I connect to that don't always play nice with the client.

small, tiny and good looking, but supports only one XMPP account and that's too few in times of gTalk and FB (being not proper Jabber servers), so I switched to Xabber

One thing i can't do is to receive msgs in two or more connected clients at same time. If i forget one client connected then i can't receive msg on a new one...and i miss msgs.

Works well with my Prosody server. Supports message carbons (xep-280) which ensures that all messages are received both by the desktop Gajim client and yaxim. Never hangs and intuitive user interface.

This app is good, light and stable, but i think it need to be redesigned to the be more modern style
