Yellow Cab Vancouver

Good app. It's like many others that use the same software but the best one I've used as far with how well it funtions. A few things would be nice like the ability to change trip details before a driver has been confirmed so the trip doesn't need to be cancelled and rebooked once a driver is on route but details, such as car preferences were entered wrong ie. Wheelchair taxi, hybrid car etc. When booking a trip with multiple stops its frustrating when noticing an oversight but can't change it

Set up a pick up, see the driver on the way, get dropped off and on my way thanks to payments in the app! I also get an emailed reciept which makes it super easy for medical trips

I don't like this new interface where u shut the app then wait for messages. Because Yellow cabs sends 5 or 6 messages with each order. Trully not necessary.

Did not have a timeframe for arrival. Did not have a cancel button on the trip. The taxi arrived after I got into an uber ordered by another human because I've was faster. Charged me for a ride I did not go on and will not refund me.

Fast, reliable, safe and great pricing compared to other ride app options! Drivers are usually great and friendly.

Would like to see where on the map your assigned driver is. Also the cab number to show, as it dissappears from notifications

No longer sends notifications when the cab is arriving. No way to contact the driver to see where they are.

Original review: Good. Reliable. A bit slow. Revised 2022: can't enter addresses; when I can, the app can't find them. Useless. C'mon Yellow, if you want market share, you are going to have to get your app $%@! together. Tried uninstalling, rebooting, nothing fixes it, and the place in the app where you can report app issues? Doesn't work.

Good app but don't like the over charge on my card EVERY trip. How many times must the put a hold on the SAME card.

First time using, so maybe my fault. Tried booking a cab for later in the day, but app did not seem to allow me to add a pickup time or to be able to cancel. Cab arrived almost immediately and it was only at this point that I received a text that cab arrived and then allowed me to cancel. Hopefully I was not charged. Time will tell.

I like how the app is GPS enabled. It means if I don't know where I am my taxi can still find me within a 1 block radius. And if they don't see you they call you. For the most part the drivers are friendly and my total is within the estimate that the app gives. Yellow cab is very punctual and arrives quickly after you call them. I have yet to have a bad experience with yellow cab.

Was a little worried due to many negative reviews but I had no problems. I booked a cab in advance for 4 am in the app and just a few moments before the pick up time, a cab was assigned to me. It was in the area so arrived within moments. The driver was quiet but I appreciated that he respected my lack of interest in conversation at that time in the morning. Overall, no problem with the app or the driver, it worked out great and I got to my destination on time.

Absolutely do not recommend this app or company. It doesn't tell you who is coming and when, there is no way to cancel it from the app and the worst part is you have no idea how much the ride is. It gives an estimate of a very small amount, then puts a hold of double ro triple that on your card and you just have to hope that the driver isn't taking the long route and taking his sweet time driving you to your destination.

The app works well. The process of booking a taxi is easy.

I do not like this app. Especially the "hold" payment. I have been double charged twice. If you do use this app, do not add payment. pay cash, or you will get ripped off by being charged twice and not refunded. Also you will have to call the company to be transferred many times and get no answer. I had to leave a message, hopefully they will get back to me.

BEWARE This app uses Google pay by default and there is no way to turn it off. If you lose your phone anyone who can access your phone can ride around in a yellow taxi within the limit of your credit card. The only way to remove Google pay is to remove your credit card from Google play. The bank won't cover your credit card if you use it as a default payment.

So far no luck with the basics such as regeristing home and fav addresses. Uninstalled and re installed but no luck faster to call them UPDATE: Just noticed that the "save" button is black therefor not noticeble in dark mode unless you adjust sreen brigtness

There is no point in having an app that lies about how long it will take to get a cab. If it says the cab is 4 minutes away before booking, it should not take 30 minutes to arrive after booking. This is happening consistently and is incredibly frustrating.

From a useful, easy to use app, the latest update has downgraded it considerably. A new and pointless login was added, wasting 10 minutes. It then used a standard text code confirmation step, but didn't wait for the code to be entered.

It knows how to take a reservation, but not keep a reservation! I booked a taxi 6 hours before I had to leave, and they still couldn't be there on time. They showed up over a half hour late. No call, nothing to inform me. Nothing but problem, both can company and app.

The worst service I've ever had with a taxi agency. waited 2 hours calling every 30 mins to check the booking because they cancelled it and every time they had another excuse and said it'd be another 30 mins. really really really bad company and incompetent customer service. won't ever be trying to use them again

Very bad experience since they updated to be like Uber, having a debit card on file. They have $40 off my card as a pre-authorization twice for one trip and only refunded the first one. Have been calling them for 3 days and can't through to anyone willing to help with a refund

The app have me an estimate of 1-4 minutes and showed me a graphic of a dozen available cabs in my neighborhood. I ordered one. Half an hour later.... Still no cab. Extremely frustrating experience.

I downloaded the app because the phone wait time was so long. On a Tuesday at 10 am, it shouldn't be impossible to get a cab. The app have me a 21 minute wait, so I went outside in case it came a bit early. Watched the app change to 'due 5 min ago, to 'due 15 min ago. Called work to let them know I'd been waiting over 35 minutes and hoped it was coming soon. While I was on the call, I got a 2 ring call from yellow cab that I couldn't answer in time, and then a message saying 'booking cancelled'
