Yellowstone Teton Combo GyPSy

The Yellowstone part is great. The Teton part includes too much geology information so there is a constant talking because the drive isn't so long, there are lots of places to stop and you can't actually talk to the people in the car. Also, it will be nice to have a list of the stoping points in the app so you can prepare before you start driving. Also, it's very inconvenient to go back or go forward to check what the previous/next point is. The app isn't perfect but in my opinion it's a must.

I could not more effusively recommend an app. Seriously, don't read any more, just go buy this - it'll be the best money you'll spend on your trip. If you insist on reading more, know that the narrator is incredible (and a little funny?!), the insights are at times both helpful and fascinating, and the navigation is incredibly smooth without any need for cell service.

Solid, but not incredible. I've used your guide apps before. Other ones include music between stops, more history (this one is heavy on geology) and doesn't tell the same story twice. Still our trip was better with the app than without. I would recommend it to someone who will be exploring for a week, rather than 2 days. It grows more tiresome the faster you travel.

Like having your own personal tour guide! We only had two days to see the sights, the app was great in guiding us past the "okay to miss" sights and to the "can't miss" sights. We learned some great science and history throughout the drive too, thanks to the app guide! No ads, no glitches, no worries about cell reception because it worked off satellite. Everyone should download this app!!

We are so glad we purchased this app. The dialogs added so much to our Yellowstone experience. We learned history, geology, plants & animals. Most useful was the recommendations on what to see, what to not miss. One improvement I would like to see is information for people in rvs. Some of the roads are not accessible for rvs. All in all, excellent app!

We've visited the parks countless times in our lifetimes. This app allowed us to experience them in a whole new way. It was so fun to learn some history and geology of the area as we traveled through the parks. We learned about and traveled along some side trips off the main roads that we'd never experienced before. We highly recommend the app whether it's your first time to the park or you are a local who travels through frequently!

Great tour guide! We saw many easy to access points of interest that we would have missed otherwise including many beautiful waterfalls! The advance notice of the places to stop was very helpful and we loved learning more about the area from the information that our tour guide (we named him Lewis) shared with us. It is repetitive when you are going along routes you have already been to, but many times we listened again and heard things we missed the first time. Highly recommend!

I just finished a 3 day experience with this app in Yellowstone and GTNP. I am a solo traveler and I can confidently say it was better than any self made tour I would have done. It was accurate to the turns, and very informative. I didn't even have to read the displays at the different stops, as I knew more! Highly recommend for a frequent stop-and-see alot drive in the parks!!!

We did a lot of preplanning and were still pleasantly surprised at how much additional information the app provided. We never worried about getting lost in the parks. So worth the price! You can skip any park tours and not miss a thing except a few personal antidotes of a guide. We took the park's Circle of Fire tour and later realized there were interesting stops that we passed by, due to time constraints I am sure, that the app identified for us.

So happy with this app. Exactly what we needed driving around Yellowstone, super helpful, told us a bunch of suggestions for great places we didn't know about, and we did our research first. The voice actor is fun and not monotone or robotic. Directions and suggestions on places to turn, relevant historical and scientific information on what we were seeing. Fantastic. And only 10 bucks, way cheaper than other apps I looked at.

I wasnt sure what to expect with rhis app, but decided to give it a try and loved it! It tells about each point od interest and gives enough time to decide if you want to stop or not. It even gives advice on which ones are a must see and they were on target with all advice. It also gives some interesting history facts along the route. We would have been so lost without this. Highly recommend it if traveling to beautiful Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.

Great narration and very informative. A good balance of providing useful information versus too much info. The narration provided us some excellent places to go that we wouldn't have gone otherwise. We didn't do much hard planning for our trip and the guide was perfect for making sure we got the best of Yellowstone with little effort!

Picked this app based on reviews from other sources and it was great. Very good at letting you know when you'd be approaching points of interest and things not to miss. We were in Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park so took full advantage of the app. The speaker was wonderful and interjected humor from time to time. Not more to say other that I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in purchasing this app. EXCELLENT!

Fantastic! Bought this the night before we left. We already had a basic itenerary, but the guide added more worthwhile stops along our drives, including some that we would've passed without realizing. Lots of information on park history, etc. My boys learned way more than listening to their dad and even gave the narrator a name. It does get repetitive if you drive the same path multiple times, but it's no big deal. Well worth the price

Can't say enough about this App. This is worth every penny. So efficient, fun, lag free and have been though throughout. We asked and search through maps and have our trip planned out but when we turned this app on, it's all we need. There are so many small cool things to see that we would not know about it at all if it wasn't for the app. It is exactly like having a pro personal guide with you that you can pause anytime. Worth every penny. Will not travel to any National Park without Gypse.

BUY IT! We just spent a month in Yellowstone and Tetons. We found this app after the 1st week. it is so informative and fun and helps you to make the most of whatever time you have and decide what to see. It is so worth the price and works perfectly. FYI, you cant download it on cellular wifi and it is a large file, so access a good wifi signal and allow some time to load it. Also make sure you have a charger for your phone because the app does use a lot of battery.

This app was awesome!! Our trip to yellowstone/tetons was better because of it!! It is all audio, you open it, plug it in and drive anywhere you want in the park and it lets you know which stops are must see and which stops are coming up. It has so much information and history that it tells you as you drive the area. Definitely recommend!

This is a fantastic app! We decided to avoid the tour buses and do this trip on our own. Hands down this app made our trip. There were 7 people in our rental SUV and everyone loved hearing all the great information. The best part, this app tells you where you have to stop and the best places to see wildlife and take amazing pictures. If you're traveling these parks without people guides, this is the only other way to go!

Awesome app. Tell you facts and must see stop and others u might not be interested in before you get there. GPS always stay connected even without internet connection. Turn off when u stop and then starts when driving. It didn't work if my Bluetooth was on. Had to turn Bluetooth off for voice to work. Wish it would tell us where restrooms were at. But app is a must have for Yellowstone.

This app is hands down, the best! We are still in the middle of our Yellowstone visit but wanted to get this review out there. Very simple.. push "Start Driving" and Bill (as we are calling him) will walk you through your tour. It doesn't matter where you start, he will pick up wherever you are and has great tips. You will not be disappointed. This was well thought out and user friendly. Worth every penny!!

App is totally awesome. Retired and traveling in RV. Will definitely be using this app for other parks. Well worth the money. Just wish it would point out info on all fires in parks. But love having the giuded tour and info in my own car while driving. Can't figure out how to save my purchased guides into my Google library tho, so I can remove it from my phone. Guides take a lot of space.

Excellent App!!! If you are going to Yellowstone and/or the Tetons you need this app! You don't need cell service because this app uses satellite. You have your own tour guide throughout the parks for $9.99. If you close the app to take a photo with your phone it will pick up wherever you are in either park. The guide tells you stories about different things in the parks and tells you what sites are coming up along the route you're on. I can't stress enough how useful and fun this app was!!

Awesome app! Great audio driving tour of both parks. Material is history & geology as well as must-see stops. We had our list of things to see & all of them were identified in this app as well as many other great pull-offs. Highly recommended & well worth the money.

My wife and I visited Yellowstone in 2019 and this app made our trip more relaxing and less stressful as we drove. It was like having a personal tour guide in the car with you that pointed out side roads and sights you would drive right by if you don't have the app. Great app and money well spent for a change.

The app is amazing!!!!! We used the same for first time during our trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park last week and did not missed a single spot nor single turn. The narration is so detailed that we never felt absence of a professional guide accompanying us. This App explains details of each geyser and hot spring along with history of the spot as well as interesting scientific/geological information. It is so nicely and thoughtfully developed that the long drives are not monotonous for entire family of all ages. Also so professionally and friendly narrated that one gets a feeling of hearing a narration from Hollywood Documentary. 5*
