Yet Another Auto Brightness
A small application designed to enhance user control over screen brightness. Initially it was developed to make the screen as dim as possible to save battery. It has ascetic interface and very simple in use.
Tap "Start", adjust brightness using slider control below the buttons if needed. That is all. Application will run in background and change screen brightness according to current light sensor data and manual adjustment slider position.
Please do not try to use multiple custom brightness control applications at the same time. It leads to unpredictable behavior.

Thank you so much! I recieved the Android Pie update on my Galaxy Note 9, which included adaptive brightness. It is very broken on my phone. It insists on being at 25 percent brightness. If I adjust it it goes right back. If I turn it off, it still does it. So far this app is really helping without any conflics.I am going to test it more. Donation coming your after that.... Oh can there be a option to make the persistent notification black vs. white?
This is the app with a great potential, but it doesn't work properly on my Redmi Note 8. It works great while I'm in a room, but when I go outside (sensor reading above 200), it does not increase light as needed and stays too dark. It seems like it uses 255 as maximum value for the light, but my device uses 4095 instead. It's outdated app, but I believe that many people would even pay for it just to have it fully working on new devices with Android 9/10.
So far so good! Tweaking takes just a short time to dial in your own levels! Good amount of lighting control, especially compared to the stock only automatic setup! Satisfied and happy to have this app for correcting auto backlighting issues!
Could be better. It works, nothing special. It can be better than the rest if it has the manual adjustment slider on the notification pulldown replacing the stock
I prefer this over adaptive brightness! Would love if the dev added more option to tweak. As much as velis. At least, i want more smoothing and poll rate. Slower poll rate means battery saving. Also a threshold before auto adjusting the brightness. Also some profile/curve
Used this on all my phones for years, but it has been misbehaving on my G6 since Android 9 was installed. The app keeps closing without warning, leaving the brightness stuck at whatever value it was when closed.
Just perfect app i have ever used. Everything is fine and smart. Works fine. The minimum Brightness is still little bit bright, if possible please make it more dim. Thank you
My only complaint is that it seems to turn itself off once in a while, instead of continuously adjusting brightness automatically. Other than that it's great.
So far so good! My LG G6 has terrible auto brightness, it is way too dark to see. I've been looking for this for a while. If it continues to work as well as it seems to on day one I will buy the developer a coffee. Thanks Dev!
This is such a great app, with simple design but yet it's features are just so useful and they all work perfectly.
Works well in all lighting conditions and is much better than the inbuilt auto brightness adjuster on my phone which needed constant tweaking.
Very good app, BUT!!, App keeps crashing after 3 days of use. But is really good that i've have an apk. always on my phone so when it dies I just install it back on. Should fix.
The status bar and navigation keys are not affected by the values i set for brightness. They are brighter than the screen.
Automatically turns off constantly, which is annoying. Does not turn down brightness on notification menu.
Finally ๐ My auto brightness wasn't working and constantly had to manually change it. This does the job that my phone is supposed to do.
Works perfectly and has solved the update issue with Huawei devices where the brightness is way too low. Great app and happy to donate to these developers :)
Very nice, does what says, and doesnt consumes battery life. On-off toggle widget (monochrome) would be nice.

Problem top and bottom always bright its the Best app if you can make top and bottom dim its would be the best app ever i love it
Does not adjust the brightness on my Xiaomi phone. On my Galaxy Note 4, brightness at its maximum is too dark
Like this app but, after installing this app my mobile brightness bar stops working and sometimes I want to change the brightness, to do so i have to open app and then i can manually adjust the brightness through a bar in the app, I think it is good if that bar also shows in the notification. And night mode is not good in this app, it works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't work. But because of great auto brightness adjustment, i give it 4 stars.
