YI Dashcam

It cannot take pictures, I get a "request failed". Also, it will not play video from the camera without downloading it first. I get an error about unsupported video type of I try to play it right of of the camera. I don't use the app because it really doesn't work as advertised, I pull the SIM card from the camera to review any video footage.

Would be a good app if it actually worked. Phone connects fine but I can't preview the video on the phone. When I try, I get the error message "Operation system does not support the resolution of the video file". If I download the full video and play it, it plays OK.

Before the update, audio was clearly recorded with enough volume to be heard. But now, even if I'm talking directly to the camera, recorded audio wasn't easily audible. I needed to increase the volume to hear it. I gave 3 stars for the video quality

When I connect to my Yi Dashcam, it automatically sets the resolution on the camera to 1080p@30 and i always have to manually adjust it to 1080p@60 on the Yi Dashcam it self. Also taking pictures is not working most of the time due "Request Failed" error msg. I would rate it a 3.5 stars until these bugs are fixed.

After I changed the embedded WiFi AP name and p/w, the application can't find dash cam anymore. How it could be fixed? Asking GPS permissions when my phone is already connected to camera AP is also very strange. BTW the web server on a camera does work ;) UPD. Any plan to fix aforementioned bugs?

I'm unable to download video clips thru WiFi with this new version. No problems before.

After updated to latest version still same.. unable to press on the big red button to take a live photo.

Previously I had a problem for taking pic from android phone. After having a conversation with yi dashcam support team, Finally my yi dashcam fixed. Know it works very well. Thanks alot yi dahscam support team

i have problem. i have device huawei 4x, when playing video all video is dark just sound only. and i take another device iphone 4s. all video playing smooth, just one thing is when i setting to 30 frame, video not support and cannot playing video.

After software update, unable to connect phone to camera. Have already off and on camera, reinstall app but still unable to connect to phone (connecting..). Please help to resolve issue.

The new has some issues such as failure of taking picture and plate number are not clear.

Its really nice but it's in Chinese version can you help to convert into English vesion or how to return this product back i brought in ebay

Before update dash cam firmware, I can take a photo from app. Sadly, can't take a photo after updating firmware. Showing request failed.

App won't connect to dash cam. It used to, but now it doesn't. All permissions granted, android 7.1.2. The dash cam itself also had problems - had to return it by warranty, but now it does record and work, just won't connect to phone.

Horrible design, should do a complete rework using Material Design.

After update Yi dash cam, i can not open any clip on my phone, it says " system does not support the resolution of the video". My FW version V-1.01.005-US. I have tried to restart many times. Thanks.

The people behind XiaoYi did great job! I love the camera, the features and usability. I would be happy if there will be added option to save 3-minute loop record on the cam.

Unable to download vids after todays update... Edit: yep, was fixed as developer said :) btw, is there any chance to add option to download multiple files? For now only possible command with multiple selection is delete :/ another request 720p60 please :)

In some case, we don't have time to download the whole video segment (3 mins) which in around 400 MB. So, a function called "Marked as emergency record" need to contain that will allow user to select the normal record as emergency record and that's won't delete until the user manually delete it.. Another funtion "trim download" is another requirement which will allow user to select and download the specific amount of time.. for example can able to download 35 seconds of one video segment (3 mins).

Can't see the photo that i take after update software.

After update, i cannot see video. black screen with sound only...i cannot take a picture always "request failed" my cellphone model is redmi 3 pro...pls fix the problem...

I cannot play back the videos recorded on the DVR. This is a major incompatibility issue. I cannot play the videos without having to download the video on my handset which takes time. The error message is "The Operating System doesn't support the format of the video. Use another player?" but no option is given.

The firmware update that includes end of trip summary is awesome. Keep up the good work!

App shows me firmware update, 1.03.026..... But i cant dowmload it. Whenever i press download, it shows download failed. Please.. any idea? ✂ ✂ ✂ ✂ ✂ I can't send email to the address u gave me.
