Hatha Yoga: a series of 3 beginner hatha yoga classes that teaches you foundational yoga poses, and moves slower than a vinyasa practice to allow for extra time in each pose to explore.

Restorative Yoga: the gentlest of our intros, a series of 3 beginner restorative practices done entirely on the floor so you can easily stretch your muscles, release tension, and relax.

Surprised! I tried yoga in the past, not beginners one and I always struggled and felt uncomfortable. And I wanted to give a try again, and I love it, I work really on my breathing, spent few sessions learning the positions before to really do a full session and this is so much better. Also for the moment the app is free during the lockdown. So perfect to try! 👌

The app itself is great. My first use yielded great results and it was a fun, informative, and useful session. However, on my second use of the app (a few minutes before posting this), I could not do another session. I tried launching the app multiple times and clicking on the second exercise, but every try was met with a "Cannot connect to the servers. Please check your internet connection" notification, even though my internet connection was perfect with excellent speeds.

It's refreshing to have a free app with no advertising banners, the video is clear and the instructions easy to follow, I'm a complete beginner (can't even touch my toes), but I didn't feel out of my depth. The narration is soothing and the background music was just right, though the music did almost cover the narration a little on day 2 it still didn't spoil the workout. Great for low intensity days but still not easy if you're strong but inflexible or flexible but not very strong.

I downloaded this app bc my partner got it, and it is really good. But when I downloaded the exact same version, mine is different, and missing a whole lot of options that hers has. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and sometimes it would bring back all of the options (including the home/history /favorites buttons) but then they would disappear again. I'd love to use the app, really disappointing that I can't get it to work properly!

I enjoy the variety of options as far as guide voice, music or none and type of yoga. I feel my mind and body are benefitting from the practice even though I sometimes get stressed because I start out with the correct leg back but somehow end up with the wrong one back. I recommend this app even if you're uncoordinated like me. Plus the people look like real people for a change not like they spend all day working out instead of eating.

I've been doing strength training for about 4 years and noticed that my flexibility had pretty much disappeared. I wasn't stretching and that was the problem. On the first day I noticed huge relief in my hip flexors and my hamstrings. Both were super tight. I love the music, the vibe/mood it sets, and the way the instructions are presented. Best yoga app I've downloaded thus far!

I love Down Dog, and with chrome support, now it's more likely I'll use it. That said, I am a total beginner when it comes to Yoga. Mind you, I'm a plus-sized person with a dancer background. Day 1 Beginner is great. A little bit of a challenge, but a good pace. Day 2? Way too fast. You gotta slow that down for people who have never down a downward facing dog and are still trying to conceptualize hand placement before tossing a fast-paced cycle at them. Love that app but needs to be beginner.

Very nice way of starting my morning. The audio instructions are actually very clear and easy to follow. If you still don't understand there's a visual aid, following the audio to help you. I really like the different options and duration of sessions. But I would have loved an option where you could find all the yoga poses in an overview. To see if you did it right afterwards or look it up somewhere else.

I'm not great with yoga which is why this app is awesome. It is super easy to cast to the TV so that my wife and I can do it together. The directions are clear and filled with these little tips that sound like nonsense out of context (e.g. let your head be heavy) but turn out to be the perfect thing to make the difference between just feeling dumb and really getting a ton out of it. Also the tips about weight balance in the feet are awesome. This is the perfect app for yoga.

Very well edited videos! The smooth instructions in between the videos is awesome. You guys also do real well in reminding the viewer what it is that they are stretching and well as the names. Most of all though is how the music sets the mood for a good stretch. In contrast to just doing the exercises and focusing to much on his hard it is. 5/5 guys

I tried this as an absolute beginner and felt good doing it. A pleasant surprise is the music - by default they played songs I already know and like, so I was more "at home" than I would imagine with more traditional ambient music playing (which is available as well). The poses were simple, but the narration was REALLY good, so I felt like I understood what each pose was there to accomplish. Could see myself getting into yoga now and trying their full app!

Personally use this as a 15-30min workout/stretch session in the morning to wake up. The app is easy to work with, all the options are easy to understand and you can tailor the workout to fit you, I'd like too see the special named workouts explained in app (short and easy version). You can choose how much verbal guidance you want through the session and you'll have a video that's guiding you through the entire session. From a beginners standpoint, this app is really fun and simple to use!

I am in awe with this app! The selection of voices, music, and expertise is wonderful. I love the ability to switch angles while watching the videos. The fact that the 'on-camera' instructor isnt talking really makes the experience more believable and captivating. Each pose was very well captured so I knew exactly what I needed to be doing. Good beginner sampler of 10-20 minute yoga routines, three in each of three styles, with a focused sense of build and progression. You can choose from multiple voices, and set the voice and music volumes independently (including turning them off). It's easier for me to use the app than routines on YouTube because I can just do the next one, or redo one I liked, I don't have to go searching and deciding.

I may not be a true beginner, being into sports ever since I was a kid and not missing a single pilates class for 6 months. Still, there are many stretching and yoga movements I cannot do properly, and this app has been really useful. The videos and narration provide great teaching and the songs played are blessings to my ears. It is a little bit expensive for my wallet, but the price is earned, especially considering you'll want to do it every single day. I really appreciated it. Thanks!!!

This app is really nice. The workouts are customizable in their series of apps. The first three beginner sessions are free, and I believe it's free for schools and first responders for a limited time, if not permanently. It's definitely worth the investment, otherwise. They offer monthly and yearly subscriptions and offer discounts even if you aren't an administrator or first responder. They also have a note inviting you to reach out if you cannot afford the already discounted price they offer.

I really like this. You can choose what kind of yoga, the voice that guides you and the background music. I am a beginner and chose restorative yoga. I found the poses well explained and helped with the stiffness I have been experiencing due to a chronic illness. It seems like there are only three workouts, so as I'm aiming to do this multiple times a day, I will likely have to move on to something else relatively soon, but it's a great start.

I've tried getting into yoga many times before but had a hard time finding peace and confidence with other free resources like YouTube and other apps. This app is simple, easy to use for a variety of types, and most importantly the narrator uses simple but effective language that guides you through the practice without making you too aware of their presence. Cannot recommend enough!

Has no off-line mode, and doesn't tell you it needs to download huge amounts of data until you start. Completely useless without a way of downloading everything it needs before i go out to practice yoga. Even if you do have some internet access, it needs to be super fast. The buffering is very limited and it kept pausing every 5-8 seconds to download another 5-8 seconds. Completely unusable. If only it could work like most every Android game does, where it downloads data packs after installation

Really beautiful app. Honestly I am so greatful that I had started using down dog.. I appreciate the assistance in understanding each movement, and how to focus on a specific muscle or body section, which makes it much easier doing it correctly without a yoga teacher available. Love how each breath is guided and explained, very useful. And the fact that you may select your own personal presence on music and voice is a superb bonus!! Thx guys

This app is brilliant. I've been trying to get back into yoga for a few months now, trying different apps and YouTube videos, etc. This is the one that's perfect for me. The intro to restorative yoga is paced just right, I love the choice of different voices and the descriptions of the poses mean I don't have to keep looking at my phone to make sure I'm doing it right!

Love this app. I've tried yoga classes before but their idea of beginner classes were completely wrong. This is a true beginners class and I love the variety in music and voices you can choose. The only note I would make is to give me a few seconds after instruction to settle into the movement before going into the next one.

I love the fact that there are many options for the instructor's voice and for the background music, so that each user adjusts them to their preferences. I love this app! Although I have done some of these moves in the past i really like that it is for beginners because i don't have the balance for any more difficult moves right now. i love that i was able to pick the music, person speaking and i love that the music continues even after the session. really great app!

This has been a great introduction to yoga for someone who had never done it before. Poses are both shown and described clear instructions. The app lets you choose your music style (and the volume ratio of music to instructor) as well as the voice giving your instructions. I've also noticed that this app integrates directly into the full Down Dog app and with Google Fit (and therefore MyFitnessPal) which is really nice. A+!

I really loved this app before because I don't do yoga often but I like the simple exercises when I do. But now as soon as I load up the app it claims there's a problem with my internet and it can't connect to the system. After reading other reviews about the app crashing immediately, I'm assuming y'all just aren't listening to us, or don't care, or just want us to pay for the bigger version. I'll just go to YouTube instead.

This app keeps stopping and starting. it stops for about 10 sec at about every change in pose. I have paid for a years subscription for the Down Dog app and it has been brilliant for about six months till last week when it started stopping and starting. I updated as was instructed by the app but it didnt fix it. After much trialing I downloaded this one, and it too is stopping and starting. I would like this fixed please. Has anyone else had this problem?

Excellent. Love that you can balance the music and voice. And one of my biggest sources of irritation when doing a video practice is that the music does not play for a significant time afterward. I absolutely LOVE that it plays as long as you want. Great for finishing in shivasina. This is now my my go-to. Excellent work! 👌
