I have used this app for over 5 years and I absolutely loved it, but I recently got a new phone. When I switched the app to my new phone I realized that I don't have the same access to the classes I had before. It has limited me to the very basic classes and if I want anything else I either have to pay for a single use or pay a$40.00 for use for the year. I am very disappointed and unfortunately I just renewed my subscription for about $ 75.00. I will stop using this app upon my next renewal.
It's a really good app. I've been using it for probably close to 10 years. I had everything unlocked at one point, but I re-installed the app on a new phone and don't want to pay for a sub. I like that it breaks classes into different categories: Beginner, intermediate and advance. Flexibility, strength and relaxation. 15, 30 or 60 minutes. That makes it helpful when I have a limited time frame or want to focus on a certain area. The locked stuff looks cool. Free version is good too
Seems great-but instantly takes out 70$ for the annual subscription. Won't refund me for a year.. and no easy way to contact the company through the app
I used to love this app when I first purchased it (for $5 at the time years ago) because I had unlimited access to all the yoga videos. It was great because I could choose various programs at various durations. Until recently (to my surprise after a hiatus from using the app) they changed their business model to "subcriber only" so it's completely useless to me now. I'm not surprised they did it, but I'm not impressed they didn't at least keep the 10 or 15 minute beginner videos free to use.
Paid for it years ago. Then one day it changed and was asked to pay more for more content?!The only small criticism I have is that some body alignments are not displayed at all. Some poses should be displayed from different angles or with more detailed narration on body alignment. After all doing it wrong can have adverse effect on the body, especially when someone is a beginner. Had to Google some details to make sure am doing it with the right form. Still the best I ever used.
Has programs avail for different levels as well as an option to create a program. Limited selection of positions for creating, could be increased, but you can manage the length of the moves. I enjoy the music very relaxing and nice voice calling out position names for hands free. I didnt find any details on each position to help figure them out. Overall I enjoy this app.
I love this app, the music and narrator are gentle and quite relaxing. I love how it gives you options for either making a pose easier or deeper. I've tried a few other apps and keep coming back to this one. I really loved it when it was all free, although I understand the need to charge because they've brought out so many more classes and options! Very happy with it.
There isn't a whole lot of content available on the app. I don't know if that's an ongoing process or if this is simply what it's supposed to be. I would really like to see some classes which help build up to more complicated yoga poses (like headstand and such). I'm also not a fan of the weekly payments. I wish I could choose other pay options, or even to pause my subscription without deleting the whole app (like if I get a busy week and can't use it). Otherwise, this is a really great little app for those who prefer or are limited to practice at home!
LOVED IT until it the custom pose choice option went wonky. When that glitch is fixed, I would gladly give it a "5." Truly. It does not like combining individual poses with the blocks. At some unknown point, it gives you an "unable to compile video" error. You can "restore" in the app settings, but then you lose ALL your custom sessions. Even the ones that work. I'm persistent, so I will add each pose one by one by one by one by one by one... until I have a truly customized choice of routines.
So glitchy it's useless. I used this app on Apple for years exclusively for the custom classes but have recently switched to android. The android version is super glitchy. The poses randomly switch positions. The times randomly reset the default, or to the time of the position it switched it. When I run a custom class the length of time changes drastically. For example one time a 45min class with be 105min, and then next time I run it it will be 30min, all from the randomly changing times of the positions. I emailed support about this in September 2019 and the only response I got was that I needed to download the android version... which was frustrating. If I didn't have the android version I wouldn't have this issue! It's been 2 months of radio silence from them on this so it seems they have no intention of looking into it.
used to be such an incredible app. I used it every day when I traveled. Now its absolutely horrible, they change things constantly, no consistency, hard to use, hard to navigate, strange unrelated classes and they push the year long subscription without notifying you so your ropped in for a year if you want to be or not. I can never even find a class I like.
The intermediate flows are well formulated although sometimes they are a bit fast. The speed of the flows allows for more asanas in shorter practices of 15 - 20 minutes but it good to pause the videos or rewind when you want to stay in poses for longer duration. I've been having difficulty fast forwarding and rewinding video and if I stop a video I cannot pick up where I left off. Also, when I have downloaded classes to my studio, I cannot access the home screen without deleting all classes.
Update: Very thankful that they fixed the issue with lifetime members losing access to the content they had paid for when the app was bought out. I'm looking forward to using this app again, I loved it! Thanks! Old review: So disappointed in this app. I bought the paid version years ago and it was great and simple, then they decided to switch to a monthly fee with not much extra content, and I'm now unable to use the previous content which I paid for. Such a dirty move. I'm super disappointed.
I love this app! They have premade classes for so many different categories (yoga for runners, healthy weight management, quick 10 mins, beginner/intermediate/advanced essentials in 15/30/60 min increments, etc.). It is so convenient to be able to pick the class that is right for you no matter the circumstances or focus you need. The biggest thing for me though is being able to design and save your own classes, as a YT in training this is such an awesome tool!
I absolutely LOVE this app. The ease of use and of tackling new types of yoga. You can focus adjust everything. There are pre-made classes focusing on flexibility or strength or balance or combinations of those and in different total class times and experience level. You can alter every class, so if you like this class but wish this pose wasn't in it you can remove it from the video! Or add a pose! I literally cannot say enough good things about it and recommend it to everyone I know.
I was surprised with the new update. I mostly do yoga in the winter and was very shocked, but I did restore my old purchase and can go through the videos I used to do. Once I get through them I might buy a subscription to try some of the new packs but I'd rather pay a small permanent acceess fee than a subscription to be honest. I would have to remember to cancel/renew around summer since I usually bike and swim more then.
If you're looking to increase strength and flexibility without having to pay for an instructor or commit to consistent classes, this app is for you. I'm a college cheerleader and myself and my team use this app for our flexibility and strength conditioning. It's honestly great. I love the calm music and tone for each video. This really helps me commit to being a better athlete.
A good introduction to yoga and mindfulness, this app will definately get you started on your journey. My favorite parts are the seperated intensities that make it more welcoming for the less physically capable. However, in order to utilize their simple guided sessions you have to doenload them to the app, which unless you pay, makes you have to reset your download data (in app) to use more of the basic classes. Also, the more specialized courses (office stretches, etc) cost money.
Great app for just doing a routine. Does have adjustable music and instructor voice over, but no fancy backgrounds. Sometimes the instructions and the instructor's movements are out of sync. I mainly dislike that you have to download every workout before watching it and you can't cast to a TV.
This is an amazing app - fully customizable classes for any skill level or time constraint! I paid for it about 6 years ago and it's been the best money I've ever spent on any app. Their class options for different areas of focus (strength, flexibility, relaxation, etc.) are a great way to alternate your workout and target your particular needs! I have only used the "studio essentials" classes and they alone make this app worthwhile!
The app per se is good, but I was extremely disappointed to find out that the annual subscription is now 99€ instead of the 26€ I paid last year. I cancelled my subscription, as I was afraid that I would be changed automatically 99€. I didn't get info at all about the price change. Too bad!
I would like to purchase the full access app, as a once off payment...not yearly is that possible at all? If so please let me know how I do this..Thanks
Not cool that this app used to be free and now you need a subscription. I logged in recently to find I lost all of the custom classes I created and that I couldn't access anything except the poses without a subscription. I don't have a problem paying for premium features (or an app I like and use) but as far as I'm concerned subscriptions are just a money grab. Plus to just out of the blue change it from a free app to a subscription app? Disappointing.
I used to love this app. Today it had so many technical issues. IF I could get the session downloaded, the class would go through the first pose and stop. I deleted the app, redownloaded it, and redownloaded the class multiple times and it has the same issue. It also kept trying to have me sign up again and would keep prompting even after I restored the purchase. I wish I could get my money back.
Overall I like the app, but it is not possible to pause/rewind/fastword video when casting to a TV. Also, I would like to see an easier navigation interface... many of the videos I like to use are buried in a long list of videos making it tough to find the right one.
I bought the app years ago when it was 5 bucks. I still have access to the basic stuff I paid for (which is all I want anyway) but I just got a big screen about a "special offer" when I tried to restore my purchase upon opening the app. It gave the impression that to restore what I already paid for, I had to do a free trial of the subscription. I eventually managed to access my content but it was a hassle and I wonder how many fell for the "free trial" nonsense upon trying to restore. Not cool.
