Love the app so far, it has exactly what I was looking for in a yoga app - not only the classic yoga moves, but also some really challenging stuff such as crow pose. There are, of course, some limitations (e.g. no way to change the music or customize the length of the session), but all an all, a very positive experience.
After a year of practicing another Yoga app, i decided to try this app and subscribe for a year of membership. However, it somehow disappoint me. The content is poor and repetitive between categories. There's no clear boundaries between different levels. Some is too hard, some is too easy. The video is fixed and you can't have the flexibility in the time of your practice.
Mostly it's very good, just a few things could be improved. Firstly app seems to be for experts, which is an anomaly as experts would not be the most likely to need this app! The 5min workouts eg seem to try to fit too much in, & it is hard to focus the mind & body when you have to constantly come out of posture to look at the next move/transition. Maybe change the quick sessions to 10mins? to explore posture. Also options for disablities, contraindications, π€° etc.would be helpful. π Good.
There's room for improvement. I liked it enough to buy premium for a year and see where it goes. Hopefully, new content will be added to justify the cost. The biggest problem I've found is the voice varies considerably in level over the course of a program. It also could benefit from low frequency roll off/high frequency boost equalization. This isn't very apparent listening in a phone speaker, but cast to good speakers and it is. Check video from 13:53-14:11 in the Weight Loss&Core session.
Videos are very useful, though a bit tricky to watch and do at same time. Would be helpful if instructor's voice could be a bit louder than background music and an option to turn music off would be helpful. However, modified stances in the beginner section are great. Feels achievable and the short blocks are really helpful to make one feel it can be slotted into a busy day.
Generally a good app but after a while it becomes quite monotonous with the same music and same voiceover which you're unable to change. I also found the routines quite fast and it doesn't give you much time to move from one position to the next, which is ok if you're more experienced, but for a beginners it doesn't make it very easy to keep up.
Beginner yoga was pretty good. However, if you had no experience with any of the poses it would have been difficult to follow based on the speed of the segment. Didn't search your site to see if there was a section which explains each pose. Might be helpful for those just starting out..
This app is really good, you can save and repeat favourite workouts. Although I would reccomend watching the videos through first to have an idea of what exercises you will be doing. Unfortunately if you watch the video through it records that you have done the exercise. There should be an option to view the video 1st and then start the workout. That's why I can't give 5 stars.
Great app. If you want to try yoga in the privacy of your home and your own pace, this is the app to get. The videos are well made. The voice over coach is clear and has a relaxing tone. You won't feel rushed or lost when learning to perform the various poses. Would definitely recommend this app.
just did first session. description of position and reminders to breather etc very good, however the hole session felt very rushed. i had just gotten into the strech and we where moving on. a bit of time to see what you are doing and for us to adopt the position would be very useful.
Does not work (oops!... try in a few minutes...) In addition, I have chosen to start with the 1 week free trial, and it is impossible to find and deselect the "auto-renewal" option, in case I do not want to carry on being charged after the free trial period.
Only had one session, but the yoga is both challenging and rewarding. The people in the videos are evidently professionals, so you're bound to feel a bit inadequate if this is your first yoga experience. That being said though, don't stop trying, because this app has an amazing way to keep you feeling like improvement is a stretch away
great for getting down to yoga without useless filler. I try to use this app every day. only thing I would like to see is the ability to second-screen the videos so that I can ustilize my TV instead of checking my phone when I'm unsure about a pose. otherwise one of my favorite apps on ny phone!
It has a wide variety of nice routines. However, even the "beginner" sessions feel challenging in both pace and difficulty for a true beginner (me), plus there is a lack of explanation of terminology. -1 star for that beginner unfriendlieness.
So many sessions used to be free. Instead of adding new sessions, they decided to lock majority of the sessions as premium. Not fully, but I pretty much know all their sessions. If it's suddenly not free, better off watching youtube sessions. No difference at all.
really enjoying this yoga app. The video is easy to copy. the app breaks the rountines into sections e.g. relaxation, toning up, balance etc. so it is easy to find a rountine suitable for any ability. Also there is probably around 50 different videos so you don't get bored of the same one.
This rating and review is off of my first 16 minute mediation workout. The video was exceptional with very clear instructions, as well as reminding me to take notice of my breathing. It has been quite a few years since I've practiced yoga; this reintroduction was perfect!
Perfect for a beginner/intermediate and so on. No overwhelming ads and my favorite feature was that the audio played through my Bluetooth without stopping my music....will be using every day. NICELY DONE to all developers and instructors. Thank you!
Only tried once, does not give a lot of instruction to ensure you are doing the move correctly. If I didn't have prior yoga knowledge, I would be lost. For me, with the prior knowledge I have, it was good. You only get a few workouts unless you pay for the app. I have used better yoga apps and I have used worse.
SunsaYoga is outstanding. It has a great way of welcoming you as a beginner, but challenging you to grow into a yoga master. And it does so in a very simple format of progressing. From flexibility & balance, to strength and endurance, this is truly a great way to practice yoga. 5 stats flat.
I love how convenient and easy this app is. I'm a beginner who couldn't even touch her toes and through the programs I've gotten more flexible within weeks! I hope they'll add more to the programs in the future.
Great app! Similar to being in class with a teacher unlike some apps that have the cartoons giving the instruction. The pace for the session i took was fast and could be challenging for beginners. Great app, keep improving!
Disappointing lack of functionality compared to same product on wife's iPhone (no personalised setup to get tailored plan to reach a chosen goal). It is just basic choose a workout yourself which is a huge shame for Android users to get 2nd rate when it looks nicely presented.
One star less because there are a few settings missing like you can't control the speed of video. Sometimes, the instructor goes too fast for a beginner to catch up.
great short video instructions! yoga is great for muscle/tendon/ligaments groups stretching and tone. highly recommend. *update: 7-25-2019. added app to ZTE Z981. only shows 1st video in every category. others do not play. *post-update: Now must pay(ZTE Z981) to see other vids, but it's FREE on my other phoneπ€. Not available on iPhone, either.π
Holy Cow! I downloaded this app and immediately opened it and I was amazed by what I saw! the content is amazing and this voice to motion is accurately synced too. I can't wait to start! I will update this review in the future as necessary! My only prayer is that the developers don't get greedy and ruin this great app with ads and third nonsense! oh! I will remember the developers in my prayers too! God bless!
Just did my first workout in the app. Was good. However, I am not in the best of my shape now and thought I chose "beginner level" there were still some pretty hard moves like forward fold. Would be nice to say what I should do when I cannot do it, because I am not sure for example whether to catch my ankle or bend a knee instead. The app has premium subscription which costs more than I'd love to spend on yoga. But there are several workouts available for free.
