My phone is an Lg stylo 2 plus. I have had nothing but issues with my phone since installing this application. I am having issues on my laptop as well, a Dell Inspiron. I will be deleting the application from that as well. It was constantly sending reports due to the app not functioning properly. I really hope this issue is resolved so I may once again receive those extra points. I welcome the tech team to contact me in an effort to help them fix the issue.
This upgraded app is not as good as the last one. It uses a significant out of battery. I've had to uninstall it, which is a shame as I like You Gov and am happy to participate. The previous app worked fine and I had it for years with no issues, basically this is a terrible and pointless upgrade. If you can fix the battery usage issue I will download again.
It was worth installing this when it doled out 1000 points a month, but for 100 it's just not worth it. It seems to drain my battery much more quickly but even worse it's a CUP hog. Every time I pick up my tablet I have to wait for 30 seconds while it does something in the background. When I didn't even get my January points I finally said enough is enough and uninstalled it.
Took me a while to figure it out but this app messed up my wifi settings and several other apps (Facebook I couldn't connect to groups, my kindle app wouldn't download books and my amazon photos wouldn't even open!) Sadly had to delete it until you sort it out!
App is causing my internet connection to shut off, requiring a reboot. WiFi and 4g or 5g. I know it is this app, upgraded my phone and wiped my old phone. Reinstalled the app on that phone and WiFi stopped working randomly, requiring a reboot. The issue is now persisting on my current phone as well.
It made my phone not work properly. My screen would turn black and freeze. When people call it rings I go to answer but it puts them in voicemail. Never been so happy to uninstall an app then this one!! Sorry I tried!!
This app caused major problems on my phone a note 8 and my Samsung tablet as well. Along with battery draining issues it also would not allow either device on the internet using my wifi network at home. I had to stop the app each time to get to the internet on wifi. Not worth it at all!!!
Kills Internet Connection I'd love to run this and get the extra YouGov points but it's utterly unusable. After a few days it completely crushes your bandwidth. Literally nothing works until you deactivate it. Since uninstalling it and manually removing the certificates my phone is working properly. Do NOT run this on a daily driver.
I didn't have that many problems with Pulse but now it causes my phone to lag and will shut down my apps. I can't even get phone calls to work half of the time. If the bug is fixed, I will redownload. I want to support research, but I need my phone to work.
The points were really enticing but this app slowed my phone down to the point that notifications weren't coming through and videos wouldn't play. It also made my battery go from 100 to 35 in an hour. No thanks!!
Ever since the new update it keeps messing with my data settings. I have to keep resetting my mobile data settings on my phone otherwise it says I'm having connection issues. When I turn the app off its stops so I know its from the app.
It doesn't work. Simple as that. It installs something that stops anyone looking at your phone, but most people can do that anyway. It's supposed to add points to your YouGov account, but it doesn't. There is no point to this app at all. Don't bother.
Downloaded it to help me to gain regular points on the panel, but it rarely works & I have reinstalled it several times, no luck. I dont think it even links to my YouGov account to credit my account with points. Serious work needed on this app.
Poor execution of something that should be simple. Instead it renders devices slow and at times unresponsive and drains your appliances. Stick to the old fashion way of waiting for surveys.
I've been with Yougov for many years and have participated in many of their research programs. I am going to have to withdraw from this and uninstall this app. Slowing down all phone actions, also rapidly drains battery.
It allows down my phone and all my apps are now slowed or useless. I cannot log in to websites. I have to disconnect before using some of my apps. Too many problems to keep this app.
I was using it for some time and now I don't want to be part of this project. I uninstalled the app but the certificate does not seem to be removed and my phone shows that my network is still monitored by the CA certificate that comes with this app. Could you please direct me as to how I can delete this too? I would be most grateful. Many thanks.
Be very careful before you install this! If you try turning it off, it is almost impossible! I've deleted it from my phone, but I'm very concerned about what information was ACTUALLY collected. The day I installed it, I began receiving VERY suspicious emails from people that wanted me to verify my account information. This is the way alot of people fall prey to identity theft! I can't prove that the emails are connected to the installation, but beware!
Using this app drains my battery and makes it so I can't use certain apps. It ows phone performance. Sometimes, while using Facebook or YouTube, I will be thrown off the app, right back to my home screen. How are they collecting data on what I do with my phone, if I can't use the apps?
I don't want to slow down my connection by using a crappy VPN for about $2 month. If I have to use it then I want to be able to pause it when I want to. No wonder the information about this app is so hard to find. There was no way I was going to put this into my computer.
Just uninstalled this app. Slowed down pretty much every other app on my phone, some of them became painfully slow and virtually unusable. The 100 points per month extra on my YouGov account isn't worth having to endure such bad performance.
This review is going to have my hubby's name but I use the device & downloaded the app. For the last year I participated in online surveys & what's in the market to try a new one. Test drove you go & liked the uniqueness of their surveys. Thought this app was like a similar one I do with SOGO. IT'S NOT! Kept for little less than a month, OMG! ATE MY AT&T WIFI DATA UP! Never return my messages & if my data goes over... on top of that, never was paid one red Cent. Not one. SCAM???
YouGov disabled my account without warning and refuses to respond to any of my emails. I know many other conservatives who had the same thing happen to them. I've been an active member for 2 years, participated in many surveys, plenty of proof of that in my email, and have cashed out multiple times without issue, at least until last October. I traded my points in for an Amazon card, waited the 3 weeks it suggests before inquiring about it. I received no response. Acct now disabled.
It was fine for a few months, got my points and everything. But the last week or so, it's been really messing with my phone. I get errors from Reddit and Chrome that I'm not connected or they just stay loading. Games won't load. It's made my phone unusable so I'll have to uninstall. A shame, really, I enjoyed getting the extra points.
