Youmus - Music social network
The mobile application "Youmus" is a social network for musicians, as well as for people who like to find and listen to original and unusual music.
Everyone who creates music, at the initial stage, faces the problem of promoting his work to the masses. This often affects the level of motivation to further music creation. Every day, a huge number of talented musicians create music and upload it into web, while remaining unnoticed. The mobile application "Youmus" was created to solve this problem.
General information
The application is divided into 2 types of users: musicians and listeners. If you are a person who writes music and wants to promote your work, you should register as a musician. If you are just looking for interesting and original music, you should register as a listener. After registration, you immediately get to the main page of the application.
What is the idea of this social network? First of all, it is a process of mandatory assessment of the works of people who write music. Listening to music, you need to put "+" or "-" to current musician, otherwise you will not be able to listen to the next one. This approach concentrates the user's attention to the current work.
Main screen
As already mentioned, in the main screen you can evaluate musicians and their works. You can evaluate either by clicking on the "+" and "-" buttons, or with the swipes to the right or to the left. If the author has several music works available, you can switch them by using the buttons near the playback button.
Clicking on the label "All Styles" will bring you to the style selection dialog box. Choosing the style that you want to listen to, you will be given to evaluate musicians writing in the appropriate style.
Liked musicians
In the evaluation process, all musicians to whom you put "+" are automatically listed in your favorite list. In this window you can once again listen to music that you liked. All authors are sorted in the chronological order of their addition to the list.
From here, you can go to the profile page of musicians by clicking on their profile image. In the profile window you can listen to the musician's works. Also, from here, you can start the correspondence with him inside the application, go to the musician profile in Soundcloud (if the musician left a link to the profile) and download the musician's music (if he gave permission for this action).
Messages
In the application, you can easily communicate with musicians using the built-in simple messenger. You can correspond for comments on a musical work, create joint works, business proposals, or simply ask for professional advice.
Ratings
As a result of the musicians' evaluations, all users of the service form a rating. Rating is a positional distribution of musicians in all styles, as well as for each style separately. The rating is in the format of TOP-100. Each musician receives points due to positive assessments of his creativity by the users of the application. But, additional points can also be obtained if the musician has a mutual positive evaluation with another musician. Also, musicians can track their current position in the overall ranking of all styles.

After rating some music there is no more to rate, Therefore my own music won't go up anymore in a queue for people to listen... I spent all the youms on boosts and it's still not enough for people to see my music... Such a waist of time this app...

Alot of talent of there. This app connects us all to what we love.... Music- expression of self.
Good idea for an app. Unfortunately it doesn't always work properly... Sometimes gives you the same music to rate or won't play any music (only show the image). Also, I used like 10 big boosts and still no one see my profile... No more Youms(app's currency), no more music to rate (so no more ways to earn youms) - means the app is useless for musicians as no one hears your music. There's more reviews with this problem here....
