YourMechanic - Technician App

I have worked as a master technician for them a little under 3 months and I easily clear almost 1000 for a solid weekend of work. As long as you do a good job, great communication and as good of a technician as your assigned level, you will do well. The parts are ridiculous but its the same at any shop or dealership trust me!! I get a real person if I have a question and yes you have to be set up a mobile mechanic (ie suv or van, tool box in vehicle, able to perform at your skill level)

This app is excellent would recommend to any technician very helpful. Potential customers this is the app for employees of the company not customers you won’t get a pin unles your one of our technicians your want to log on to your mechanic .com to book service not download this app again it is not for customers only employees of the company. Very happy with my expiration as for all the disgruntled ex employees if you couldn’t make it work maybe your not as good of a mechanic as you thought. There are always going to be parts issues at any shop. The pay is more than fair and as far as having to travel you did read that part about mobile right. The company provides you with the customers and the parts what more do you need. I’ve been in the automotive industry for 20 years with experience in all fields from back yard to dealer. It’s ridiculous to bash us ,previous employees just because you couldn’t make it work doesn’t mean it doesn’t. If you can’t solve a puzzle it’s not the puzzles fault. This is a great company that is really concerned with helping they’re customers.

This is a massive setup for anyone who applies. You are expected to have your own business. That entails all aspects of a business including a trade name, unemployment insurance, workers compensation and all because municipal documents required to work in any city that you are dispatched. Failure to keep all these in order makes the technician personally liable for losses. Read the entire contract. Parts of it do not expire even after you have terminated the working relationship.

I use to do mobile mechanic work. This site tells you how much labor would be. Plus they come to your house and fix your cars for cheap. It also tells you what the dealers would cost and how much they cost you. There also certified with insurance. The company is a great way to start your business as a legit mobile mechanic. All earnings and cars you worked on stay on your app. Very recomended

I was told I live to far away to participate in a mobile position. I live in the mountains and everyone commutes to the city but apparently they know better than I do.

App is very easy to use whether you're tech savvy or not if you do have any problems support is very friendly and helpful

the company is horrible they have no knowledge of service or vehicle's a continuous problem with parts be incorrectly ordered incorrect service offered to customer and wrong information feed to customer not only do they state that they practice transparency in the company and is not so because the charge more than they pay for the parts but also make 60% off the mechanics labor a company with no overhead making double on everything this company is a rip-off I know first hand I was working there.

App charges an outrageous amount of money to costumer for simple jobs and dont even provide OEM parts . Example : 2013 MB Cooling system flush for $900 ! A job that takes at most 1 hour.

Upstairs neighbor is a tech on the app (always asks for my help) but apparently I'm outside of the service area lmao

My bad review was deleted so I make a new one. If you think you're going to make $40 an hour while the company takes 60% of your earnings you're wrong you'll make even less; they do not pay you for the one hour paperwork in phone and the one or two hour drive. At the end of the day you'll end up making $10 an hour

Customer service and warranty departments do not return calls in a timely manner.

As others have stated. READ THE CONTRACT and understand what you are getting into. You may as well market your own business locally and collect the full benefit of it. Rather than assuming the level of risk with YourMechanic. DYOR
