Great UX. Loved the way the application interacts with the user. Allows the user to get news based on their interest. I hope it also develops a behaviour and pattern about a user and then feed the news according to that. I hope to keep using this application as my daily news update as it provides a short and simple description about the news at a glance which saves a lot of time for me.
Everything is good, just that something is wrong with the UI.. Let me articulate that for you- after I finish reading one article , i have to shut the app, and reopen it, again scroll down and read the next one. Please fix this
The content you are delivering is awesome. But few pages take a bit of time to load and there's a lag while loading the info of the companies. And also the font you use in your website is much cleaner and neat than the one in the app.
The font used in the app is so bad. It makes me not want to read the articles. Please change the font which induces us to read. Take cues from The Ken or VC Circle. Do an A/B testing with a better font and I'm sure your readership will improve. This might be a perosnal opinion but I'm sure you can try it with a small focus group and see if the readership improves and then implement this on a large scale. Your push notifications also don't carry the entire headline.
The news are constantly updated but only the same news were available for a day and we have to scroll all the way through old news to read new one until it gets updated. It would be better if the news already read move to a separate section, so in that way we can cover more news
Please bring in the older ui. It was simple to read through stories one by one. Current ui has ni significance as far as the ease of reading is concerned. Current UI is just a good to see but bad to read experience. Please get in the older version.
The UI is amazing and so easy on the eyes. The app has great overall design with functionality which is equally good. Keep up the great work in upcoming updates.
I have stopped receiving notifications. My notification setting is on, but I only recieve 1-2 notifications per day compared to 10+ before the update and all important notifications such as fund raise are not coming. Funding alerts were the most important notifications, removing them renders the app useless.
The contents of this app is really good but what it lacks is in its functionality. The whole content is unorganized and in no proper order or sorting. kindly improve the app with an update.
Latest update is fine but i suggest some improvement areas 1. Reduce the speed of animations 2. Server speed is slow 3. App looks messy with lot of windows in home page/homepage should use only for stories 4. Add time in Homepage stories
Its sad how Yourstory is trying to capture user data which is not evwn required. Users are forced to register on app to use it even when there is no purpose of registration. Also when trying to register with gmail, if found that they want permission to access all my public data and associate it with google search.
I was here only to ask you people, for adding a Bookmark/ Read Later kind of feature to the app. But I already see most of people asking for the same. I request you to please add and unable such a feature with an update, so it would be convenient for the users to read when and where they want it.
Notifications are not handled properly. It should be a small title and long message. Instead it's just a long title which makes the notification look bold and 1 line limit (truncating rest of the text - On OnePlus Nord). Please fix this.
The old app was actually good,the new app though clean doesnt look as great as previous one especially the font.Also the interests section in previous app was much more specific and personal like Herstory,child prodigy etc,but i dont see the old interests anywhere.Also there are irrelevant news in this version for eg- i saw a news on how a boy swam 36km when i searched child prodigy.Please fix this
The content curation is good but the search feature doesn't work (the page turns blank. i have tried it on Android as well as iOS). Please fix it.
Big suspension i have about this app now. As soon as I opened this app I could see prompt from system that app pasted my clipboard data. Arey you trying to use ur user's personal data? What does ur app have to do with my clipboard data? Uninstalling....
Stories need to be edited. They are too big with many unecessary stuffs. What I think developers can do is to add the main information to contents and add an option for "read more". Really it bores the reader!
I have download the app YourStory But when I login to yourstory from Google option it will always show login failed I have try many more times to login But I have see a very big issue in login and I also re download it from playstore but nothing was happen. So please kindly solve my problem as soon as possible.
Editing review, after so many complaints about search feature by me and so many other users as well, app devleopers and your story team is not willing to pay attention on the issue. If you really care about ur users and their experience, better to go through reviews on time.
3 Stars for content.Although the latest UI with curated topics is a big booster the font size really sxxks.In Earlier version, font and its size were interesting and readable.Now it's too small to read.Either increase the size of font or provide it's adjustment to users.Do this immediately to retain old readers.Also provide dark theme which is trending nowadays Edit1: 5 stars for accepting suggestions.Don't know whether only I feel this but still I feel font size can be increased for 1or2 points
The last version was too good... Easy to read, and website is also too good but as i dowloaded the app it looks very like a magazine, it doesn't give website like comfort.
App is best but reading or audio doesn't seem natural and is hard to understand when there's some other noise try to optimize that Update:Great improvement in the voice tone it's understandable now🙌
"Save changes" for updating profile is not working properly. It's just loading loading and loading.
One feature is missing, if I already read a story I should have option to hide that story. Because there are so many stories. I need to scroll down or search to find unread stories.
Hello Team Your content is good. Just a small suggestion- can we have customised notification timing as working person get irritated if the notification comes in working hours on regular basis. Customize notifications timing will motivate him to read the articles when he want to read it or free to read it.
Really useful and great app. But please add dark mode, so not to strain our eyes and that's the reason I gave 4 stars.
It's really amazing app for those who dreams about starting a business. Do many entrepreneurs talks about the idea's n struggles they face during their period. Amazing thought Shardhha and team. Have been an avid user of the app. But the new update missing important features. It has been months together since the time 'Funding Alerts' notifications suddenly stopped after an update. Raised this issue with the team as well, but they said they are working on a fix. It has been weeks since that last Twitter chat, but still the issue hasn't fixed. I don't know how this critical customer facing thing can stay behind the doors for so long. Maybe YS itself needs some startup agility and speed?
