Edit: since have been able to log in but lost years of data. Since the update with the icon change I have not been able to log in at all, my credentials stopped working and when I tried forgot password it says my email isn't even in the system. This can't be, I've been logged into the app and uploading data for years. Support said they would get back to me but didn't, I've had to email them a number of times to no avail, and nobody picks up the phone number listed. Very disappointing.

Nine times out of ten it doesn't connect by Bluetooth. When it does, strange things happen, such as it appears to give a false result if you step on it once with clothes and then without. It always reverts to its first reading. Perhaps there's an algorithm that favours consistency over accuracy. Either way it's a bad product and I'm sure I won't get my money back.

Bought this scale specifically because it would sync with my Samsung health account. And then of course that feature was removed after the fact and with no warning. Don't waste your money on this scale. Bluetooth rarely works and now I'm having to manually enter my numbers into Samsung. Might as well just buy a cheap scale if I'm having to do that.

I have version 3.6 (there have been the latest ones), this in my view is with the fullest functionality - with Samsung Health app and Yunmai server syncs without any problems. Before downgrading the application version on the phone the previous one must be removed completely (also in device backup). 4* because there are problems with editing multiple profiles, but it is not important to me.

Edit: The sync with Samsung Health works again after Android 12 upgrade. /// The latest version (3.5.1) installed on 28/Dec/2021 removed the option in settings to sync with Samsung Health. Why was this functionality removed? I consider this as a wrong decision and usability drawback because this was one of the reasons I bought this scale.

Update 1/17 - Got a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and phone is connected to the scale via Bluetooth, but the app can't connect to it. Editing review to reflect poor app programming/coding until they fix it.

The app isn't a "burner" from a design perspective, but would have got 3 stars so far. But since the last update (got installed on my device on 2021-11-24) the app is no longer able to connect to the Smart Scale. The scale itself even doesn't show the Bluetooth icon, everything else works as expected. I even changed batteries of the scale and restarted my Samsung Z Fold 2, didn't help. BT on the Fold is on, of course. Any other idea?

Won't connect to phone any more. Used to be when you open the app and get on scale it will connect and upload scale readings. That no longer works please fix

The App works fine, but they decided to bother me with their ads all the time. Please STOP IT or provide us with the option to disable it..

Terrible. It's not about the new look and feel (which I don't like, but that's a subjective matter) The point is that after the latest update the app lost all of my data, collected over two years, and in turn forced me to know about yunmai's new "smart skipping" rope. Oh well, thank you for the input, yunmai. "Smart skipping" is what I'm going to apply on your products from now on.

I really loved the previous app (used over 6 months), but I do not like the layout of the new app. First, my body fat shot up 2% since the changeover (maybe a change in calculation, not sure). They also calculate an "overall score," which is unexplained. Finally, they put an "ideal range" that has a range of 18.3-24 BMI. 18.3 is very low, when our goal range is 20-24.9. I am likely just going to use the scale, but I will go with a more consistent product and fitness app.

I've had this scale for over 3.5 years and have loved it and the app. But this new update is terrible!! Now some arbitrary point score is showed after I weigh in, instead of actual relevant weight data being front and center. It keeps trying to sync with Samsung Health when I haven't asked (and don't want it) to do so. The overall look now is just not pleasing. I don't like the new colors at all. Please fix this!

The app used to work well before the last update; I was able to switch between profiles without any problem. Now, to use any of the profiles I have to weigh first and then a dialog box pops up asking to confirm which profile is it. It's annoying because I have twins and both weigh almost the same and I can't switch their profiles, the app takes both as if it is one person. And lastly, there's some "network failure" when trying to switch profiles without weighing first.

I hope Yunmai looks at these reviews and responds quickly! Everyone seems to agree the app looked and worked great until the last update. Now it is not intuitive, is unattractive, helpful information and screens seem to have been reviewed and what is left is hard to navigate/use and there are no explanation or instructions anywhere. I used to have a list of comprehensive analysis for each day and could look at them individually. Now it's just a weight loss graph with only a few of the metrics, and somehow those just got erased when I tried to Save the info. If something doesn't change fast I'm just going to go buy a new scale with a more useful app.

Simple app. No provision to down load your own data for your own analysis. Simplistic charts with little X-axis resolution for what modern screens are capable of. Data on lots of parameters with little explanation of what the scale at the bottom means. There is a significant amount of screen space left blank that could provide a thorough explanation of why light green is better or worse than yellow. If there was an alternative I would buy it.

I am not happy with the recent app updates. I don't like that I can't delete readings; I don't like that I can't compare analysis from one day to the next. I used to like to compare ALL the readout differences not just the weight, fat. And muscle. Also, it was easier to compare the changes from prior week and display basically side by side. The look and functionality of the app used to be so much better. You took away functionality instead of providing more functionality. It really is bad now.

Invasive settings permissions. I revoked access to calls, etc by changing permissions in phone settings. Now my phone keeps alerting me that the app is running when I didn't open it. I do "force stop" and the alert is back 20 minutes later. I've tried everything to get the scale/app to show pounds, don't think it's possible. The app is not user friendly/intuitive. My initial weigh in recorded fine... subsequent one displayed in app, but wouldn't save. Can't figure out how to view history.

Not to best app at all. If you can I would say get a different scale. Its is very frustrating. I like that you can add different family members. It's glitchy. It is not clear how you switch between family members. It mixes up family members pics, names, and demographics. I'm about to return the scale. Come on yall can do better than this. The concept is good but the execution is way off.
