Easy to use. Stubborn at times. Frustratingly clumsy for annotating on smartphone. I'm reading a document without the ability to effectively enlarge text on it now in any consistent manner workout resetting the effort on every page, but it does the job for cheaper than a paper textbook. How long has it been since a substantial update? That partially tells the story.

Very convenient to access except for if you want to print the pages. It only let's you print upto two pages at a time. Which is really inconvenient when you want to print a chapter.

I can't believe this is the inclusive text for my organic class, would much rather have a different source. Super buggy desktop, I just spent 20 minutes trying to highlight a section or make a note and it simply WON'T. Very annoyed. Opt out and get a rental book if you can. Yuzu eReader is literally making my class harder, as if it wasn't already difficult enough.

Terrible experience with this app. It is very buggy, poorly designed, and extremely frustrating. Get your textbooks anywhere else. Customer service is okay but the app has soooo many problems that it's a literal waste of time.

The app did say error when trying to sign in directly through the app. What ended up working was signing in through the web browser on the phone and choose that you have the app installed already and itll open it for you. Then you accept all the terms and boom, it works. So far I have not been having issues, other than the sign in bug, it pretty decent.

I don't like how I have to download my book AFTER downloading the app. Table of contents doesn't work most of the time, and overall the app is unimpressive. The back button leads me to the home page of the app, not the previous part of the book I was at. Very annoying to use. Looks clean though. Hasn't crashed yet. Downloaded only to use for reference during a non-computer portion of one of my midterms. Would not seek out again to reference books.

Ugh! Definitely not a good app if you intend on actually reading or interacting with a book on your phone. I can barely read because it's so tiny but if I zoom in it messes up the formatting, it won't let me highlight without a fight, it deletes every set of flashcards I create after crashing in between each new one, and the text to speech is horrendous and mispronounces almost everything. Thought I'd save time, paper, and money by going digital with my college textbooks, that was a mistake. Now my whole semester will be more stressful because of this.

It keeps crashing. If I click on a word with an attached definition, it freezes then crashes. This is the second book that I've had issues with, and the first book was a whole separate set of issues. When I click on feedback, it freezes and gives me a black screen. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10 plus, so it's not an old phone.

A lot of reviews for this app are very negative so I was skeptical at first naturally and was worried I had made the wrong decision purchasing a digital book, but honestly, I had no problems with it so far. Never crashed, quickly downloaded offline, and I didn't have to find my book, it's on the home page right there. You have different options for the text to change font size and style. Overall, really good. I'd recommend it to others.

If you are a student looking for access to your textbooks, find physical copies. This app is trash. To say that this app is broken would be an understatement. I was forced to rely on it, partially because my college had no physical books and partially because this is the cheapest option for textbook access. What I got for my money was an app that only works at its own convenience. The menus tend to be unresponsive, occasionally I am hit with an error page, and even in the rare moments where the app does work I cannot get the stupid app to load any pages. At this point I just want a refund for the textbook I haven't been able to read.

Here is my feed back: The Text-to-Speech does not go in order of paragraph, from left to right. It reads the right and left paragraph and continues on to the next one, the one on the right. What's up with that? It also dictates signs (i.e. -, _) back instead of recognizing that it's a hyphenated word. I was excited to use it for my studies, but not anymore.

Actually, pretty good. The controls are a bit counter-intuitive, and it takes a bit of getting use to. However, once you get the hang of it, it works really well. There was one serious issue with it I found. I tried to read my textbook on a small (8-inch) android tablet. The app resized the text, but it didn't resize the graphics and tables, so they were all impossible to read. When you tried to move the view to see the graphic, the navigation controls took you to a new page. This problem went away on a 10-inch tablet. If you are a college student, I recomend that you buy a 10 inch android tablet (or an ipad if you want to pay more) Download this app, and keep all your textbooks here.

Buggy, audio playback randomly detaches from visual highlight. It also detaches from playback control and then you must reboot your device. It is also very slow at loading text, which is just silly in modern day. It makes me really unhappy that somehow these guys are the only ebook provider for my school... Other wise I'd never use this terrible app.

This app is not reliable. It freezes often and is difficult to keep notes. Forget trying to use the web browser to read. The app, as bad as it is, functions better than any of the available web browsers. I also tried to connect with customer service for help and their servers aren't accepting emails. Maybe I'll try to call them today. Why are colleges relying on this app?

Eth. C. Aug 27, 2020

This app works but barely. It's the slowest reading app I have ever used even for textbooks. You can see the effort they put into making the app like having it ask you if you have it installed or not. There's no easy way to go through the books as it loads each page individually and doesn't seem to cache. The hoops they make you jump through to sign in are also a pain. Save yourself the trouble and don't buy ebooks from this company. If you have to for a class or something, use the computer.

Love it! Makes reading my OChem textbook so much more convenient. The pictures are properly sized for mobile format and the loading times are great! Multiple highlighter colors are available and it's super easy to switch between bookmarks. The flashcard aspect is broken, but Quizlet is better for those anyway.

Isa. B. Mar 19, 2021

Very buggy, unintuitive design and it completely messes with the layout of whatever textbook you're trying to read, almost to the point of being unreadable. I'm basically stuck using this app until the end of my semester, but I will actively avoid uisng it in the future.

Every time I try to even log in, I get a bad gateway. I've Uninstalled and reinstalled. smh if only the bookstore didn't only offer yuzu as a ereader

Emi. M. Jan 27, 2020

The app itself is fine but I'm frustrated that I've paid a LOT of money to have e-books, and I can't access ones I still need after a year and have already paid for outside of an app on a phone or tablet when it's been very difficult for me to see on smaller devices because of an injury. Definitely not worth it.

Jas. P. Feb 7, 2021

This app is completely useless, as my textbook is not even readable! The single most important feature, being able to zoom in to actually see the text, is nowhere to be found. Now I have to try to complete my class without the textbook.

Tis. S. Jan 23, 2019

At first I was getting the error message when signing in but realized you're only allowed to authorize 2 devices for sign in. I wasted a lot of time uninstalling and reinstalling. You have to go to support to find out you cant install more than 2 devices or it will give you an error message. account settings->devices->deactivate one of the devices.

Mar. H. May 26, 2020

This whole program is a mess. You lose "online" access to your books so that they can ONLY be viewed on a mobile device because there is no desktop/laptop/tablet application available. The whole program is very unhelpful and I regret ever getting important textbooks through my school ebook program when I couldn't afford the physical copy. I do not recommend, and hope maybe the program can be more useful one day, but I seriously doubt it.

Ing. C. Nov 11, 2021

This application is absolute complete and total trash. Getting your book in PDF form will be infinitely better. Zero customization, you can only zoom in a certain amount, and a myriad of other annoying features that make this app super clunky. Everything about this app is garbage.

Not. Mar 25, 2019

This app rarely even starts enough for me to log in to it. DO NOT USE APP! ONLY USE DESKTOP COMPUTERS! The app gives me an error message after login, even when password is changed. I have tried to go in my browser on my phone and try to login there but when I click login it doesn't react. This app should have NEVER been born! It's ENFURIATING! Idk how many one star ratings this needs to get before they try to make the app better. My school should partner with another company because I hate this!

Kat. T. Mar 13, 2021

Works well for me. I'm able to read my textbooks for my classes without a problem. I don't really try any features or tools (highlight, etc.) so I don't know how they perform, but the app works well for reading.
