This is an exercise in how not to 'update' an application that was working adequately (ish). As you use the application, new pages open in an increasing amount of windows, using up memory. Things have actually gone backwards. Simple features to help users maximise battery life like limiting maximum charge level are missing. This hasn't been through any user acceptance testing whatsoever. I can't recommend this at all.
It's a website link, but responsive (PC, tablet and smartphone) and functional. Except for some service disconnexion from times to times (the car is connected thru a 2G network and it's normal), it is working and very usefull. I bought my car used a month ago and using the app almost every day. It has room for improvement for sure, but does the job. I'm waiting for the release of the new app "MY Renault ".
If the previous version was always giving an error when trying to turn on the heating, with this new version the pop up window is not even reachable. Can not press ok. Besides, use a browser instead the app itself. It means, if you don't have the option to save details and passwords on your browser, always have to log in. Please fix this.
After this last update 6th of December 2018, the app simply doesn't work. When I open the app it opens the web browser and nothing else. Please... repair it asap A nice add would be to be able to program the pre-soak from the app, not only to start the A/C. During winter it would be really nice to be able to do this from the app instead of going all the way to the car if you forgot to program the pre-soak or you want to leave earlier than planned.
Such a terrible app, it's been over a year since this was updated to redirect you to a "temporary" web page that has a terrible user experience, with half the features not even working. Renault keep spouting the same nonsense that a new app is on the way and to stay tuned, but I've given up hope of the ever happening. The Zoe is a fantastic car but Renault's reputation is irreparably damaged in my eyes due to its complete lack of care for it's customers.
this is unacceptably poor after spending a lot of money on a Zoe. The functionality only needs to be a basic so it would be low cost for Renault to hire a company to write basic Android and Apple apps. This weblink will not work on most phones, including mine. Most of the data entry boxes that come up are partially off screen rendering them unusable. The Zoe is a great car, so this is a real weak point, but one that is easily solvable for a company of Renault's size.
Just how long does it take for a new app? Ridiculous and useless. Still waiting for an actual app and not just a website link.............................. Very Disappointing. This is not an app, just a link to a web page that never remembers your login details. Very limited features that are of any use, just current capacity of battery, if it is charging and how long left. Should be so much better from a major car manufacturer. Another month later and still waiting for changes for the better.
The app stopped working in my brand new Zoe. It only worked for the first 2 months, then from April it doesn't update charge status, nor does the precondition functionally work. I deactivated the drive mode, waited 2 days, activated it, but no luck. Love the car but really disappointed with the app.
very basic and full of bugs. This app is lacking of the most basic features such as setting a max charge limit or stop the charge with one button, to name only two. It is also very rarely updated. Very lazy job from Renault, is this how you show consideration and respect to your customers?
Horrible. Usually it's so difficult to ask status update, like range or charge status, you just leave it. From 10 times works maybe 1. If you lucky. Same with the pre conditioning. You press it, ask for confirmation and exactly nothing happens. FIX IT RENAULT. Since last update worse and slower than before.
Oh dear. As others have said, this is no longer a real app, it is effectively a web bookmark. You might as well uninstall this app, as it is no longer needed... And before you entertain thoughts of extracting the old APK to revert to the previous version, you can't. Renault have blocked access from the old version !
It is a simple link, after the update or maintenance from today all the link-app shows a "dasboard.card". if the app was bad , now is horrible. Really disappointed after receiving a brand new ZOE 3 weeks ago. Please fix it. Build a proper APP. It is not that difficult and should not take that long.
This app barely works. I can view current status, if I cross my fingers. I can sometimes preheat the car, if the app is in the right mood. Otherwise it's just 'too many reqests' after clicking one button...
Worse than useless app, gives false information so you can never trust it. For example, it tells you vehicle is charging at the same time that it tells you it's not plugged in. Hopeless.
Seriously, this has got to be one of the most botched release plans I've ever experienced. Why on earth would any dev team see it necessary to bork their existing application in "anticipation" of a new "My Renault" app and then after half a year still not have the replacement app released!? You can hardly call the link to the web page a "temporary" solution now. It should have been left as is until the new app was ready to launch, so sloppy.
Cannot precondition the car and last battery status update was 3 months ago. Keeps saying that there is a 'server error' but nothing helpful such as how to fix it or who to contact. Useless!
On logon page, the log on button on my phone is out of sight, so I have to scroll down to it. It only needs id, password, remember and logon, surely that could be fitted on one page by a half competent ui designer? Every time I turn on pre condition, I get message saying server error.
Worth no stars. Just appalling. Confirmation pop up for pre conditioning sometimes off the screen so can't confirm. Renault, this is just terrible. Please fix it if you care about those who own your cars.
This is just a wrapper for a web page. The option to update data seems to have a bug as it always tries to execute the update request twice however carefully you press the button.
No longer an app, this is just a web shortcut which still suffers from "Too many requests". You should be leading, the backend is there, spend effort on the front end.
Used to get stuck at register car details screen. Even though my account worked fine from a laptop and browser. The app still gives many error messages. But now has started working perfectly. Hooray.
It's quite interesting that this app gets worse with every update. Now it doesn't even try to be a real app. The site doesn't allow scrolling while trying to start the AC. I think Renault should change every single person in their development team. Please contact me if you want some advice, I'm in the software business...
Disgraceful... No charge point map for Ireland and yet they sell the Zoe here!!! .. Hope the performance of the Zoe is not a reflection on this rubbish app... I most certainly won't be paying for this when my subscription is up in 3 yrs!!!!... Shocking app...
This app was at best ok, with limited functionalities. Then an update came early December and now the app is not working, it is worse then it was. The update was suppose to "improve functionalities" but it did not and the "app" is useless!
Renault is not capable to write an app. The car has functions that are missing from this tentative of an app and communication between car and there servers is done via SMS like in old ages.
Great update BUT route planner doesn't allow you to add a via point. Also, unable to see the charge point info mentioned on the route planner. Info does fit on screen
Renault say 52 miles at 100% charge is within acceptable range. That 52 miles estimate becomes 40 tops when driving. Having to charge daily. Now app doesn't work. No use.
This has to be the most useless app ever, it just opens your browser and goes to the ZE Services page. It's actually quicker to add a bookmark. It doesn't even manage the page in its own environment, it opens Google Chrome and the web page in there and the remember me option has no effect. More to the point, preconditioning simply doesn't work, battery status etc is fine so I know my services account is fine but preheat never actions yet it claims it has worked through the page. I end up thinking that preheat is working but then get into a cold car.
