Still supported but still a mess of an app
$500 camera goggles done in by crappy software. The connection is always hard to initiate and maintain. The goggle's display tends to freeze, or else the app thinks it's not connected. So frustrating to work with.
Still could use better battery life, less wind noise, and an option to change from "fish eye" mode like the go pro has. Actually put the go pro technology in this goggle and it would dominate the industry! Also needs a more universal video extension for better usability.
The app is pretty solid. I did notice that when choosing to record via the app the microphone was not working. The transfer rate is slow, but it's a lot of stinking data. a 7 minute video at 720p 30fps is like almost half a gig! Probably could find a way to make it a little more efficient, seems like the speed is <100kbps. with Ad-hoc wifi, it really should be quicker than that... maybe it's my micro sd card who knows. Anyways I'll add more of a review when I get them out on the slopes!
I don't believe the current HD camera goggle has any wifi connectivity and this app doesnt work so my only theory is that the next line of camera goggles will utilize this app.
App doesn't work. It says to download the correct version.
Says to download correct version even though it shows the goggle video in back before disconnecting. Goggles are going back sadly. App needs help
Does not work on Android OR iPhone. Same problem on both. I open app and it tells me connection to Wifi has failed, but im connected to Wifi with no trouble elsewhere. Love the goggles, but it's very disappointing that Zeal basically half-assed the video software. I bought these as a gift because I saw others use them and it seemed straightforward. I can take some comfort knowing I didnt pay the original $400 for these goggles and got them for much less. Wouldnt have been worth that much $$.
