Zello PTT Walkie Talkie

I'm surprised this app doesn't have better reviews. It works like a REAL walky Talkie so someone can say hi any time even if the app is closed. They can't hear you unless you hold the chat button. Useful for when you don't want to text or you have something quick to say not worth starting up a 30 minute chat.

It's a great way to communicate, it's quicker than using a phone, great range. I was talking in a concrete cover parking lot on three floors at Walmart parking area great receiving and transmitting. I live in West part of Dallas my wife works and live in north part of Dallas I talk to her with ease. I'm trying my best to recommend this app to others. Thank you Zello we love this app.

It used to work good not anymore. Its buggy since the convoy, signs out often, no voice heard at times, cant get rid of side bar. It needs a whole redo update... it went downhill real quick

"can't record due to a problem with the microphone" I have removed all other apps' microphone permission, still always got microphone jammed problem, therefore the cause must be zello, which i need to restart the phone to get it work again every time, so very annoying and I am getting frustrated already. would you please get it fixed asap?

What happend to the search feature? I used to type part of a name of a channel and it gave a list to chose from, now if you dont absolutely know the name would be close to imposible to find a channel so, what is the purpose of the search feature, makes no sense.

Sometimes I couldn't hear from the other side in real-time even when both the devices are at good internet. Other than that I'm happy with service and UI

Pretty cool little app. My man and I use this when either of us leaves to go to the corner store. It is way faster than texting and it cannot be misinterpreted like text messages can, because you are able to hear the other person's voice and tone. Fast and convenient.

Used to like this. They took away trending channels in the app. It's so hard to find channels now. Not easy at all. You can't do a general search in the app for any channels, and lots come up. Given up on it. It's too closed off, so to speak. Like fort Knox.

Zello works surprisingly well over even very poor data connections. I feel that it lacks a few features that LMR radio systems have such as simplex connections (maybe Bluetooth?) And custom lists of channels and contacts. Works great for my purposes, but a device-to-device or LAN Function would be nice

Ole Nextel is back and loving it. Just add a widget option for the front screen of the z flip so I don't have to open my phone to use it

Dear Zello, I cannot understand why the Bluetooth connection is not available on your app? Keep disappearing from your app. Thank you

Needs a little tweak. Nothing big. Add an accessibility service so we can use our hard keys (volume, Google, etc...) on our device in any app. I have an Alcatel Volta with a GSI and the Google Assistant button would be perfect for PTT usage.

Exquisite, the amount of happiness and serotonin I get from this app is astronomical. Its amazing cause its like you're on a call but don't waist battery when no one is talking. Perfect for friends and group chats. 100% would recommend.

The best two-way radio app ever I use it with my friend who lives in Denver so we don't have to use Messenger to call all the time and she actually respond because you know she can hear me talking instead of her phone ringing it is the best two-way radio app you could ever buy get or download

I love this app its very easy to communicate with friends and family from afar but i give this 4 because i thought you can use this offline and lastly please let your app send videos to whoever your talking to not only photos

Great app absolutely love it, would be better if it had a button shortcut to send messages. Even without it it's amazing

This app works great, it's easy and just works, my wife and I tried it on my moto g fast, and she downloaded the apple version on her iPhone. And this platform works amazing

If you're looking for a reliable easy to use walkie talkie app for your phone, look no farther. Zello is it. By far the best app in this category. Nothing else comes close. Does everything right. No cons at all. Highly recommended.

Used to be a great app. I hadn't used in a while and was reviving w some people at work. We tried for 30 mins to connect using address book invites and searching phone numbers there was no way to find each other to talk. So annoying.

Talking with family and friends and groups is easier now with Zello. I didn't give a 5 rating largely because I keep getting a request from a group that has been closed by their administrator and cannot block the continual requests. Several of my friends keep getting the same request (and the "administrator" can't fix it either.) Please fix this glitch and communicate back with me. Again, the PTT works great.

It used to be prefect before the latest update but now none of my Bluetooth items like my zello microphone or motorcycle helmet intercom works with the app anymore. 😡 It's annoying because I can't use the app while I'm driving because your not allowed to hold a phone in your hands while driving and I can't use it while riding my motorcycle.

I gave this app 4 stars because when listening to music or navigation through earbuds or Bluetooth speaker you can't hear the incoming messages. There needs to be an update to mute all media during an incoming message.

It was good for a few hours then it started to disconnect or something, even with WiFi. I tried sending messages and pushed to talk but it kept showing that the messages are not delivered. Please fix this.

Best walkie-talkie push to talk app. I used it when I only had Verizon 3G and once on T-Mobile 2G it took a moment on 2G for the message to come through to the other phone but the message was still loud and clear without skipping hissing no noise distortion of any kind, still my number one PTT over the internet app
