I'd give this a 3/5 since it often has glitches and other technical issues for clocking in and out, as well as requesting time off / vacation.
It's a great app but the browse button doesn't work when I want to upload documents.
app includes no way to upload recepts required by terms. makes using an HRA into a giant hassle. Tried it again, app is still trash.
Update: This issue has been fixed, thanks! Previous review: When I attempt to open external links or documents, I receive a "No Browser Found" error. The "settings" button does not take me to a useful page within my settings. I would expect to receive a prompt asking me what app I'd like to open it in. Or for the "Settings" button to take me directly to the setting that lets me enable a browser. I'll update my review once this issue has been fixed.
Thank you for the quick fix! It is working now and you even added face unlock support. I appreciate it. App is up to speed again and very quick support from Zenefits! **Old Review** It was great. As of today it is crashing all the time. I have reinstalled and rebooted without success. It makes it very difficult to clock in if the app doesn't work.
Edit 11/23 - They pushed a fix for the Pixel 4 and it works just as great as it did on my old phone. Highly recommend the app, it is much easier to use than the website for day to day things like clocking in and out. --- Old Review: Unusable on the Pixel 4. Immediately crashes every time. I've used the app on an older phone and it's great, but currently impossible to use. I see other people with the Pixel 4 have the same issue and I've had it for weeks now. Hoping they can push a fix soon.
I've updated my rating to 3 stars, as I was able to find the 'Ok' button when entering my time. It seems that the 'Cancel' and 'Ok' buttons are the same color as the background. So I have to guess where it is on the screen. Looks nice, but is not useful. Every time I try to enter my time, it would let me select the start time, but it will not save it. So I'm forced to go to the website to do the most basic of tasks.
On a Pixel 5 the main navigation bar disappears about 2 seconds after launching the app, but you need that to clock in. So if I can't click the navigation button fast enough, I have to force close the app and try again. There is also no way (in-app or on their site) to get technical support; instead they give the run-around for HR assistance.
this app has been great, however i can no longer use this app on my new Pixel 3XL, as the bottom navigation bar is hidden. please fix. *update* i realized this happens when i change the display size for the phonein the settings menu. (Settings > Display > Display Size) once i reverted back to default, the navigation bar at the bottom of the app reappeared. it is silly that it would disappear depending on display size, however.
This app is perfect for attendance, contact info for your peers (especislly needed when you need to send an email and do not know someone's last name), easy to submit requests for time off, and it offers other perks like seeing your benefits if you have them throigh your workplace. The ONLY thing I would request being added is a timesheet adjustment area. For my workplace, we typically submit timesheet adjustments through a separate app unrelated to this one.
I like it so far, but having trouble changing my profile pic. I was successful making a profile pic when I first signed up, but recently, when I changed it, it now automatically shows a blank white space for my profile. It's not a big problem, but it is a problem that can be fixed. Edit: They are working on this issue, as well as others! Thanks for getting back to me!
Cannot use the most important feature of the app: the ability to record hours worked. The add hours button does not appear on the timesheet page. Will have to use the desktop version.
Update 3/22 Zenefits helped solve the login issue and now I can get back into my account. Thank You! Update 3/21 per the note ive Emailed them the issue. Will update my review if this can get solved. Not working at the moment. It asks me to login twice then on the second time when I try to login it asks me to select the check box but there isnt a check box there for me to select.
Zenefits makes my HR headaches go away. It's easy to use, has a substantial library of training materials, and helps simplify my job. My organization has employees at multiple locations, and being able to communicate employee information and coordinate the onboarding process from a centralized site is tremendously helpful. I'm also able to track all of the employee training from one place, making compliance a breeze. I highly recommend Zenefits.
Administrators: don't get lured by their attractive pricing and promotions; go elsewhere; I wouldn't sign up for $0. Their system is full of issues and don't take responsibility for them. 1 example: Have a 10 employee contract? If you terminate an employee and hire a replacement before completing their off-boarding you'll be charged for an 11th employee for the remainder of your contract. They claim it's standard practice, but I've used several providers and never had the issue.
When I'm looking at my time clock for the pay period, I can scroll down but when I try to scroll up it refreshes the page (loading me at the bottom again, unable to see the top so that I can no longer switch between pay periods). I'm on OnePlus 8 pro.
UPDATE FROM PREVIOUS POOR RATING OF ONE STAR. ZENFITS TECH SUPPORT FOUND AN AREA TO DELETE CACHE FILES THAT I WAS MISSING, SO GIVING 4 STARS NOW. ORIGINAL POST FOLLOWS. Cannot get update, so I tried deleting several items thinking it could be space related. No go, so I uninstalled, and now I cannot get the app to reload. This started because it would not allow me to record my time without updating, so now remote and cannot load time! FRUSTRATING
Keeps saying error when I try to log in. Then it freezes for a few seconds then goes back to the log in screen again...pointless app this is. You guys should get this fixed asap. Seems besides me, there are alot of other employers and employees who are attempting to use this app only to fail as well. Its all over the recent reviews even...
As others have noted, logins failing on app home screen with correct password. App is not usable in it's current state EDIT I spoke with a developer at Zenefits and they pushed a new version of the app that now allows me to login on my phone. Thanks!
Android app is missing some critical functions, like the ability to view my schedule. I have to sign into the website on my desktop (doesn't work without a big work around on my phone) in order to find out when I'm scheduled to work.
Since the most recent update yesterday I can no longer view my timesheet on the app. The icon has completely disappeared. I have to log into the website to view my timesheet which defeats the purpose of using the app if I have to log into the website anyway. Please fix asap!
So far, the app is unusable. I can't log in, and it doesn't even tell me if the password I entered was wrong, which I know it's not. It just keeps looping me through the login screens. So, guess I'll just use the website for now.
Doesn't seem to work for the Pixel 2. Not that obsolete? I contacted support and was told someone would call me to help and they never did. Tried reinstalling the app a good 5 or 6 times with no luck. I'm not getting a new phone for one app.
This review is only for the Native App, the Zenefits service is five stars. This App work well on my old phone, but crashes constantly on my new Pixel 4. My guess is that this is due to the changes in Android 10.
Clear and easy to use
Im trying to log in but its forcing me to log in twice. when try logging in the second time, it asks me to check off some boxes that dont exists. The moment this gets fixed, ill change my rating.
Zenefits - after using your software for a few months now, you have some good features, and some missing things critical to HR. I have tried to contact support to get direct answers and they put me on hold, then can never give us an answer. Here is feedback hoping you guys can make some changes - 1. A place for a note attached to the employee file (not one you have to write then upload). 2. Spreading out salary people to more than one dept. 3. Housing benefits need to be taxed per law-we need help.
Doesn't save credentials - which renders it useless if you set passwords via password managers. Even better, the mobile website pops up an undismissable "use our garbage app" overlay (meaning can't use zenefits AT a provider's office)
The pertinent information is all very accessible. You'll never need to call someone to find anything about your benefits, right down to your original employment agreement.
It works pretty well but i often have server or loading issues, whether I'm on wifi or using data. Also scheduling, which is a pretty important feature, feels too "hidden" on the app. I feel like it should be its own tab.
