Getting instant feedback in my garage is way cheaper and seemingly more effective than going to a simulator or the short distance range even. It would be ideal to combine this and a full distance range. I've gained 10-20mph on my swing already after my second time, and am getting much better feedback on other stats. Beware, everyone at work wanted to try. We'll see after a few months if I make any more significant progress.
Great app. Really helping my game. Needs to be setup right with the sensor, but all good. Slight issues: training is brilliant, but a round is a bit of a pain. Would be great if you had Grint/Hole 19 GPS functionality. They don't work well together, with switching between apps. Changing club could be easier too so it doesn't slow down the game. Otherwise, superb.
been using for a week. works good, but could use some improvements. data and visualizations are useful. some problems so far: 1) app drains battery A LOT. 2) sometimes app can't connect to or calibrate the sensor, and then it eventually works after 3+ tries. 3) course selection is difficult and error prone 4) unable to compare my swing to pros as advertised 5) seems to ask me to sync my data frequently after I've already done it. 6) edit should be better, ie. if I have the wrong club selected.
A great idea but just not polished enough. Cannot work out how to edit a swing (change it's club or make it a practice swing) once it has occurred. As far as I can tell my data isn't available for download. Would love more data on the variance of my swing (the bar charts are nice but a box and whisker chart as an overview perhaps?). Would love to be able to swipe through my swings in 3D view rather than having to go back to the calendar each time. Would love a better user guide rather than trying to piece things together from the website. Cannot find the 'compare to pro section' for the life of me. i can only compare to other swings of mine. I hope the relationship with the pro hasn't ended and you've neglected to update your website. I do 30 contact swings but the insight tab tells me I need more. No filters in the calendar view for starred or non-practice swings. What does the red part of the 3D swing analysis mean. Contact? Then why is it present on the practice swing? All in all, I feel like the dev team got heavily reduced in size a few years ago, and the app is suffering. Would suggest investing a little more in such a substantial component of your offering.
I find this app ideal for swinging at home. I swing and record the data. After downloading to phone or ipad I can see how I swung. I can then next time I swing adjust how I do it. For example if my swing tempo is quick I can concentrate on slow back and forward. The results I get dictate my next planned session. You cannot measure tempo like this. If I get it down to 3.0:1 I will look at something else. Changing clubs affects results and the new targets needed. The training areas are excellent.
I am pleased overall with this sensor. In my experience it is most useful as a tool to get the swing on plane and as a gauge for club speed. The other metrics and swing score are interesting but IMO not necessarily helpful, e.g., if I hit a thin shot with a higher clubhead speed and tempo closer to 3:1 I am "rewarded" with feedback of a higher swing score than a slower swing and "incorrect" tempo that results in a lower score but the feedback of the sound, feel, and flight of a well struck ball.
Club plane, tempo,backswing and hip rotation have improved dramatically in the past 2 months. Went to the driving range for the first time this spring and all my irons,hybrids and woods are going straight as a dye. It's unbelievable! Thank you Zepp.
Bought it to help cure a slice. My hand plane and swing plane numbers are perfect on the device but my problem turned out to be an open club face. This device turns out to be useless for this problem. Compared data to trackman data and there is nothing on zepp that shows face angle. I would recommend spending the money on a few lessons rather than purchasing this device.
Excellent swing stats. This has really helped get my swing as good as it can be. You get immediate feedback so you dont go on and on making the same mistakes. You can correct any bad habits immediately. I also video my swings and sync them with zepp. That way, I can see how zepp sees things. Best golf swing analyzer out there. Update: Still working great! 9/21
slowly getting to grip with the App, loads of data and aids to your swing which becomes more apparent the more you use it. Not easy to understand at first and no explanation s given. 2nd week using it and I can see the mistakes in my swing and my efforts to correct them. Onwards and Upwards :-)
As a data nerd, this system is just what I am looking for. It provides a lot of feedback on a range of variables in my swing (and in all honesty there are quite a few that vary). It allows me to work on one or them all on the range or even without hitting a ball at all.
great app. I use it for backyard practice. it's amazing how seeing the numbers related to one's swing helps to make adjustments. the instructional videos are great too. best thing is that the results are showing up at the course.
Difficult to navigate through. No upfront explanation of the metrics used (planes, Tempo, turn), especially towards "good". While the club list isn't complete (how could it?), an update & more Generic options should be allowed (I can't put in a brand new 29° 7 iron). Please update.
App usability and underperformance (android : no more sharing/exporting of swing datas allowed. everything readable/usable only in app.) makes hardware useless (android: data sync and display issues). Highly unrecommendable until developers confirm updates ! (looks like app was sold to new developers and they have infrastructure issues. each new release has less functionality and less operating system compatibility)
Been using since 2 years, I am over all very happy. But recently I have noticed the score card calculates total score wrong. Even after entering exact hole by hole score, when you end the round, the software miscalculates the score. Please fix this problem
Not able to sign in, reset password, or create new account on Amdroid tablet or phone (latest version) or desktop PC (latest chrome). Gives JavaScript errors or says data connection not available (other apps are connected - Internet connection is fine). I got zepp golf 1 in 2017 and really liked it. Now it's completely worthless. Sad golf day.
Testing out to see if I would but a Zepp Golf tracker. Can't find a way to make my activity private, which is a huge oversight. Really liked the idea of the product and buying the sensor but without a privacy settings, that's a no go.
Great for seeing what is going on technically with my swing. Sometimes it can get frustrating keeping the device connected when flipping back and forth between apps like golf logix to get yardage.
absolute best training tool for the money. This has already improved my swing after 3 usages one live round on the course and 2 trips to the driving range. I wish I would have had this years ago.
I got a Zepp sensor for Christmas and couldn't wait to try it out. I like how it works pretty seamlessly with my sensor and gives really accurate data. Can work on my swing in the house on cold days and not miss out. Great app.
Good feedback on swing. Really let's you know how much work is needed. Lowered to 3 stars because it appears that a Chinese company Huami bought the assets of Zepp Labs and basically stopped supporting the website or the app. They are using the brand name for their line of smart watches. There are still some residual units on the market, but just be aware the company no longer exists.
only used once but I can already see where I need to improve and focus. The tips in the app help. Great data capture at the driving range.
nice app useful. unfortunately the acquisition module fail on some phones. the drawing capability is basic . anyway stll useful and nice when it works. Missing the possibility to use higher framerate.. otherwise 5 stars. thanks
Amazing insight into ones golf swing. See the bad habits/tendencies that you're developing in your swing. This shows you your planes(hands, club, &swing). In doing so it gives you valuable feedback to made some adjustments
Love the app! hands down has improved my game! Started with just the app and then got my hands on a sensor. Two things keeping it from 5 stars; 1 - I wanted to use my tripod so I can use the rear camera on my phone to capture a better quality video and the app doesn't auto rotate, I have to use the front facing camera, leaning on a wall. If there is a setting to fix please let me know. 2 - Sensor automatically turns on during charging cycle and stays on, made sure to turn it off but stays on.
