I like the responsiveness of the app.. but the application confirmation in a bit deceptive. If someone filled out an application and paid for the credit check and they inquire about your property Zillow makes it seem like the application was for your specific rental property but that is not the case. Other than that this is an incredible way to reach people and to do a background and credit check without you having to collect money that is incredible.
As a homeowner, I have to say this app is severely lacking.... Using the rental manager is tedious and often confusing. For example, in will get a notification of a new message, with a hint or truncated snippet of the message however, when I click the notification, it takes me to my messages and does not indicate who sent the message. Not does it indicate any unread messages. Also, the Zillow application info is anemic at best... I appreciate that an applicant's Credit Score and Evictions history are displayed but NO ONE is filling out any information regarding their current and past employment, Savings accounts, ETC.... Everything shows as "Self Reported" and *IF* the applicant attaches files, they're often some screenshot of a check or something irrelevant. I use my own applications as I get SO much more info. Also, I have to "CLOSE" the app to get back to my Home screen.... And, before you ask... I have updated the App to the current version.
Much improved since I used this last year. Good interface, helps manage chat dialogues, the application information is great. However the application for tenants does not ask all the questions that I ask or contain an area for me to include property specific information, so have tenants fill out a form separately. I wish I could have an area with customized information that prospective tenants see when they apply to my property so that I don't have to answer the same questions over and over
I'm so beyond frustrated with this app. I have two listings and the price, number of bedrooms, and number of bathrooms keeps changing. I'm trying to advertise those 3 things so for it to change at will to incorrect information is beyond frustrating. The fact I'm paying money for this adds insult to injury. Why the hell is there no direct customer service number for this.
Bug in Android app preventing me from publishing my listing. Only help is a robot chat, which never ever understand real questions. No way to get a real leraon. Bug is that App won't let me verify my phone number after I enter the code they text -- "done" button doesn't work. It only lets me cancel and leave my phone number blank but it won't publish without a phone number. So I try to switch to my computer, but it says my listing is "off market" and it won't let me edit it.
Love this app, but it has major glitches won't open up background report or credit , app states "something went wrong" I work full time on the road and I'm trying to view my applicants and can't even see the information I need..so frustrating. Tried Un installing and re stalling app. Still not fixed. Please fix this and I will be happy to give a 5 star review
Very bad designed app. Good to find renters but don't use it to manage rent payment and expenses at least not on your phone. Maybe desktop version works better.
First time trying to log on to app and receiving login failed... even tried signing up with fb. 3 stars because we're off too a bad start, but more than 1 because maybe it's system maintenance.
Using Zillow to find tenants for our rental is super easy. I love that Zillow takes care of all the applications, credit checks and background checks. so easy.
My number 1 source for finding people to rent my houses. I also had a technical issue with my listing and they fixed it quickly.
This App is super helpful, but leaves A LOT to be desired. Customer service is pretty much non-existent and payments take 7-10 days to get to your account. They do mention 2-5 days(I'm sure it means business days) but I honestly don't know why it takes that long. A FI-FI transfer only takes 2-3 days at most, so why does Zillow take so long?
What a rotten experience, it didn't honor my archived status for my property and now I'm getting a bunch of emails after I made the listing inactive
Easy to use, and keeps prior rental info so re-entry isn't needed. Lots and lots of replys to my listing. Do it!
Trying to sign up for an account but app won't accept my password....yes I followed the directions for what the password requirements are.
App is great, I don't recommend using Zillow for payments though, they hold on to your money for 5-6 days before depositing it in your account
I paid for a rental post on Nov. 30, today is November 4 and I can't have access to my messages. I receive emails, but the prospects don't get my answers and I can't see them in the app. I called to Zillow and I left s message because nobody answer the phone. It is impossible to talk with someone. They give me a case number; but they have not resolved my issue. I am losing the oportunidad to rent my place, because the prospects don't get my response. Terrible customer service.
Program works well. Tenants are using this program to find rentals. The is easy to use and makes the screening process easier than me processing the applications individually.
Ok on and off market. Almost working. Just a few fixes needed. In my rent manger and online it still has a house or appartment with a false address and it still has my current listed rental marked off market. Please sent to support to remove these errors. And please have someone refund my listing fee . First 30 days free as Zillow advertisement states in app geez
I would give this more stars but, there's one glaring issue that keeps getting in my way. Whenever I schedule someone for a tour, then I navigate back to my messages, I see "unexplained error" and the scheduled date does not appear tagged on the list tile it is supposed to. That makes it hard to know who I have scheduled at a glance. Then whenever I navigate to ANY conversation, I keep seeing "unexplained error" pop up. It's very annoying. To fix it, I have to delete and reschedule a few times.
It's off to a good start, but far from complete. I've had several people email me saying they have requested showings, but non of them are showing up. I wanted to upload a virtual tour, but apparently that's in the ios format only 🙄 At least give me the option to add online, but the desktop version pushes you towards the app. The metrics are skewed. I don't have a way to ignore my ip address. If I share the link, it logs my view as a metric as well. Just very frustrating.
I listed my rental in zillow. My acct says i have it posted, but when i click on it , it goes to an error page. i have opened a trouble ticket, but no one has answered. customer service isn't very fast or good apparently. i have 7 rentals and thought this would be a great way to list, get applications and background checks. i guess not.
Great idea, but difficult to use. -App buttons don't always respond. -I invite someone to apply and I don't see that the invitation has been sent. I log out and log back in and see that some how I sent multiple invitations. -Composing a reply to an inquiry, the only text visible is in a slim one line box. It's very difficult to edit. -I click on the email or phone number in the application of a prospective renter and I get an error message not a direct link to call, text, or email.
Great for managing rental posts. I just wish they had a better method to manage tour dates with prospects. It's a hastle messaging prospects and updating my Google calendar simultaneously. At the very least it would be great if we could send tour dates and time with prospects to Google calendar. Also, it would be good to have a button to deny rental applications instead of only having a accept button. Yes I know i have an application waiting for me, but i cant remove the notification.
We have been using Zillow rental manager for quite a few years now and are very pleased with the ability to screen tenants and post all info and photos necessary. Easy to use app. Highly recommend!
Problem with latest update cannot sign onto the app with existing account! Please fix the problem ASAP
Horrible user interface. No way to hide or delete old applications. No way to filter or delete obsolete messages. Messages are not linked to applications so you have to switch back and forth. No search by name. No custom sorting. Unbelievably user unfriendly. Their web site is the same. I cannot see how anybody can find this app useful at all. UPDATED: I like the pre-canned response. Anything specific? Was not my review specific enough?
The messaging interface is broken. It only lets you see the oldest messages in a thread. When you scroll to the newer ones, it glitches back up to the top of the thread. Unfortunately, messaging is the only value this app brings. You have to go to the website for everything else. So at this point, the app is useless.
Excellent app and resource for renting properties, finding and gathering information all in one place.
Good tool but fix and add some things. The time on the messages is Eastern, I'm Western. When the notification come in for a viewing and your done looking at it , you can click the arrow on the top left but it takes you out of the app. I would like to see it take you to the main screen so you can view other messages, but it doesn't. Please add a personal note pad next to each renter so lanlord can make personal notes about the renter so they can remember them.
So frustrating that rental application credit scores and background checks will never load in the app. Always have to go to a desktop. When we get a lot of applications, it be nice to do a quick review to know if they are legit prospects or not without having to remember to go to a desktop later. Seems like a basic function that should work yet never does. Android 12 and latest app version.
