The Zions Bank app is just not easy to use. The menus are confusing to navigate. There is not any sort of back button, which makes navigation even more confusing. A lot of buttons just take you to the Zions Bank website, which makes me think, why have an app when half of the things in the app take you to the website? Don't get me wrong, this app is a functional app. But the unnecessary complicated-ness of the app makes me cringe a little bit every time I have to use it.
The mobile check deposit is absolutely garbage. It fails over and over, with terrible feedback. The worst part is if you get a good front or back picture, you can't keep it, you have to retake both! It also doesn't fit pretty common check sizes. Just garbage.
Slow. I counted 4 clicks before another to take images of checks to deposit. Long wait times between screens. Seems like a poorly written android app. I have a pretty fast phone and gige internet and don't have these issues with other banking/finance apps.
Terrible, terrible!! Something as simple as a mobile deposit is bad. Mobile deposit does not work at all. What a shamed! Zions Bank new "updated" system is just bad. Very unhappy with this new change because now mobile deposit is not possible at all. You need to fix your system and make it easier or just take a look to Wells Fargo's app, they do know how to provide a very useful app to their customers.
Would like better visibility/easier access to seeing and modifying recurring transfers and bill pay. Other that that, the app is pretty good.
I think this app is fairly user friendly. It runs smoothly, and makes it easy to transfer money between accounts and keep an eye on your bqlqnce. However I hate that it takes you to an external webpage to veiw credit card statements. I find it frustrating and it's much harder to check charges. It used to be on the app, and I would love to have it back.
It's absolutely crazy that I can't go in and pull up a statement including today's transactions. I can't find any place on the new and improved mobile app that shows me the deposits going in to my account by direct deposit nor the transfers that were taken out by another bank. They just don't exist until my new statement comes out? I would have hoped that I would have been notified somehow that my account was being drained, but it has to be a surprise!
the mobile deposit is not as simple as it used to be. not as user friendly. more steps to get the job done. its disappointing
I am so freaking tired of them locking my account every time I mistyped my password. It's not multiple attempts. It's only 1. It's infuriating. I then have to actually call in and talk to a person to verify my identity in order to unlock it. It's just as infuriating as them automatically locking my card if I use it out of state. They don't call and verify the purchase. They just lock it. I then have to call in again just to unlock it. I can't stand this bank. I will be looking around.
I like the upgrade but compared to the other banking apps I use it still lacks. I would you america first as a reference.
It's been great ready to use. Easy to check balance. And manage your finances.
Since there new update that was maybe a year ago or so this app has gotten so slow. It doesn't update when you transfer like it use to. I have to complete close the app and reopen all the time to get it to work.
Not very user friendly. Can't see credit card purchases on app.
Very useful. Deposits transfers and everything is perfectly easy to use.
This app is great, much better then having to go to the website everytime I want to even just check my balance.

This has been great for my small business and integrating with QuickBooks.
It's improved from the last version, especially the mobile deposit.
Edited review: The updated app is much better so far. I haven't had any glitches, it's easy to use, and I can actually see how much my credit card bill is and when it's due. I like the fingerprint login also. Thanks for fixing this app. Review of previous version (1 star): This app is awful. It nearly always freezes on the login screen, so I can't hit the submit or continue after entering my name and password. I also can't see when my payment is due, nor how much the payment is supposed to be.
Worst ever. I appreciate the desire to talk about my experience. I'll record it here though. Installed the app on a Samsung S8 in order to deposit a check. The app froze my whole phone when I tried to take a picture. I had to hold down the power button, a hard shut down. The screen was black. Camera shutter kept opening and closing. It gave me the impression my phone had been hacked/possessed. Took 4 tries before I got it to take and deposit the check. This prompted a review & uninstall. Thx.
I have had so many frustrations with this app. It makes me change my password way too often and when I enter it wrong it locks me out and I have to call customer service to unlock it, which would be fine, except it's always a 24 hour process. Since I can't readily see my balance I have gone over by like $2 a few times and the overdraft gets moved in increments of $100 plus a $5 fee. It's the least user friendly banking app I've ever used.
This rating is for the new version. It downloaded very seamlessly and replace the old version. I particularly like that I can set up custom alerts and they can be delivered anywhere I want, via push, email or mobile message. The app's a bit slower but it's totally understandable given what you're doing. I'm happy. In fact I didn't have any problems with the old app like the other folks that I've been reading do. Way to do it right Zions! Later.
They ruined a very good app. I used to be able to check on transactions very quickly and to know that they are mine and not fraudulent. Now if I want to know where a transaction is from, most of the time I have to click on each individual transaction to see the details because they have large random numbers in front of where the business is. I think the numbers were there before, but now they show a lot fewer characters for each description. Might change banks over this. Bad update!
The app is okay. I'm glad I have the option to mobile deposit checks. But their camera technology is not great. It's constantly saying it can't see the check or verify information on the check when the image is very clear. It's super annoying. It's like you can only take a picture of a check at a certain time of day in a certain light with a certain background. It's very inconvenient.
Terrible. No "manage account"option, or"make payment" button if you have a credit card account . You have to click through other options at the bottom and scroll through pages until you find a link that says"make payment". And with the new update when you try to click on these links, for some reason it takes you out of the app and into your web browser and asks you to sign in again and then take you back to the app and repeats the process on loop. It wasn't smooth before, but now it's worthless.
