I've suggested users use this app for my scratch2apk emulator. It's quick and easy to set up. Ian Mcdonald, sounds like after un zipping the APK you have rezipped at the wrong level. Try going into the folder you want to zip, select all file and zip from there (rename the zip to whatever afterwards)

There comes a time when every developer destroys their app somewhere down the line, either selling out to advertising, or just gets stupid from too much beer drinking. So I always save the .apk just in case. This app can prevent google playstore from recognizing it for an update! Great work.

This is one of those 1 star apps that could so easily be a 5 star app. The difference is the discrepancy between an app that doesn't work at all and one that does exactly what it's supposed to. ZipSigner consistently produces packages that the system complains it cannot parse, so obviously they can't be installed either. That makes ZipSigner, well, completely useless, unfortunately. I'm not aware of anything else like it, however, so I'm hoping the developer will emerge from the shadows one day to give the app a much needed update and fix its problems. If that were to happen, my rating would probably quadruple.

Perfect for keeping older versions of sideloaded apps from updating in Play Store. Usually I only give 4 stars for favourite apps and save 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for outstanding indispensable workaround apps that help to overcome stock Android shortcomings without having to root. This will save a lot of manual tinkering! Very happy 😉

Great Idea! I use old apps, but I couldn't get this to work. I followed instruction but found them vague. Maybe it's over my head. So I just avoid the update prompts. Wish it had worked, or I could figure it out.

It tries to create a valid signature and it works sometimes. Lately it has been causing an apk that was working to stop working after re-signing, even when I had left its contents exactly the same.

Perfect app for those who still want to use old apps because they are fed up with all the bloatware adware that are added to some perfect working apps down the line. Just select the app, sign and install. No more annoying of playstore notification for updating the apps.

Great job. Stock recovery always asks for signed zip files. Now we have answer to that.

I use it for signing apks after replacing files in packaged phonegap apps, so I don't have to wait for adobe build every time.

Great App It is used to to sign flashable as well as modified apks Thanks Dev for this app. Well app but ui not perfect. Dev plz rebuild this app with material ui in the next update.

i am a developer and i had real problems signing the aps, this solved them. its easy, effecient and yes small in size. oh yeah its fast too

Cans sign apks but cannot sign cwm packages, Also you cannot use your own keys, as there is a keystore verdion error.

Makes it easy to resign files. Allows me to avoid being irritated by newer updates to older apps that I want to keep.

It's easy and fast to sign a APK or a ZIP file during development. I also use it on apps in which I am unhappy when a developer changes the app and stop apps from being updated.

Use a file or app manager to save an installed app as an apk, and Google Play store will still try to update it -- unless you re-sign it with test keys.

Works for apps which seems to be not compatible with my phone. But after the signing I was able to use them.

Tired if getting updates for certain apps, this is the best way to mitigate the issue. Modifying the Play database is only a temporary fix, this on the other had is permanent. Great app

I needed to modify a script to be ran in stock recovery at another phone from same model and Android version, tried all sign modes from this app but none was recognized.

I needed to unlink an app from the market so I wouldn't be pestered with updates. (TB is unable to do this permanently. ) Signing the APK did the job. Thanks for the great work dev!
