If a camera you have connected becomes disconnected the difficulty level of getting that camera back on the system, so you're able to view live feed, is about an 8 on a scale of 1-10. The instructions provided to do this, are not user friendly or are irrelevant because of missing components in the set up instructions, they are easy to follow, that's why I gave it a 2, or I would have rated it a 6 or 7. Initial set up is smooth as a Gigolo in the 1980's rocking a pimp hat and fur coat.

Cameras work good as far as picture. Install was mostly painless, setup a tad annoying but manageable. The app is very meh, can't view live unless I force close the app and re-open and recorded events sometimes won't show up until a few minutes after the notification. It's middle of the road and for the price better than some others around the price tag.

This app drives me insane! Besides being over priced for what you get there's a 10 sec delay when you watch it back so you miss everything and then the so-called flashback goes by so fast you can't see what's going on. Cars drive by my place at 10 mph at the most, It's going so fast You can't see the cars And you don't get an option to pause it or rewind it while you're watching it. Also, it will notify when a bug flies by but rarely when a person walks up or a car drives by.

Could be better... I used to be able to check playback but now the only way I can is if I upgrade to the premium or platinum plans (cost is per camera, not total). I would like to be able to clear the ON & OFF notifications. OFF seems to stick unless I manually change to one of my others. I've called and gotten no help (asked me to do what I've already done). Recently, the motion captures are over exposed. I've messaged ZModo and have gotten no response..

Cloud service is really bad. Seems like every time I need the footage recorded, it does the opposite and erases it. It's unfortunate that I didn't check their reviews before purchasing their cameras and service subscriptions. It's like paying a premium price for a surfboard at the beach, and zmodo hands you a wooden spoon. Tisk tisk in regards to their user interface, enjoy your time, uh, wasting it staring at the 'loading' screen. Psh

Overall, pretty easy to use and does what it needs to but latest update now when creating a clip from the local storage it is unable to be played in the gallery or download it to the phone. Would still suggest to introduce ability to allow to segregate different cameras to the modes (i.e. Home mode to only motion alarm/notify for cameras overlooking the doors only)

Cameras either record everything or nothing. If one is triggered it delays the other one which doesn't help me catch surrounding. Car pulls up but out of the frame I can't see who gets out in other Camera due to the delay. It says it has sound but I've not ever been able to get the sound to work. And my number 1 # it does not notify my cell phone when power has been disconnected so if a kid unplugs it or even if I just lose power a day can go by without me knowing! Wish I had gotten a ring!

They are ok. I have 4 set up outside. A little concerning I also have wyze cams and they always update and patch. I do not think zmodo has ever seen a update maybe 1 in 2 years so not sure about the security on them. My front camera no longer does auto night vision so it broke about 1 year ago I have to manually put on night or day. Also the 7 day cloud service is 4.99$ per cam...if you do not get this it is not that great. Wyze is only 1.99 with many more feature might switch completely

I really really had hoped this system would work. The doorbell doesn’t send notification to the phone until at least 30 minutes later. Once it was over 2 hours. The cameras keep losing connection for no reason and then 3 hours later they reconnect. You think you have coverage, but you don't. What a waste of time and money. Unfortunately there is not a zero stars option. Maybe they should offer red or black stars for negative ratings.

The cameras and app used to work great! Now... Only half of our cameras work! Dont waste your money. We bought 2 new cameras and less than 3 months later neither one works. They wont stay connected no matter what we do. We've tried everything! It is not a wifi issue either. Something is wrong with this service. I wish we could get our money back but that wont ever happen. Lesson learned. Dont buy Zmodo!

Installed the system 2 weeks ago and found the system to be of sub-par quality. The initial set up was not easy. I had to call customer support to get it set up. Once completed, I noticed the image is not a clear as my other (less expensive) camera system. Also, the base system only gives you 12 hours of storage for free. If you want to increase the capacity, you have to sign up to a monthly subscription fee. In my opinion, I would not recommend this system.

Since last update I have not been able to connect to my DVR box. Tried everything even resetting didnt work. Then tried removing my DVR and cameras from the app to add back on. App wont even detect my DVR anymore. Detects cameras but claims cannot connect to internet so wont add. I now have a setup where I cannot connect to and cannot even download and footage now! Over a week and no reply from support.

Save Video Function Broken. Last working version is 6.0.4.17. The video is available within the Zomodo gallery. When download, ít states that it's already downloaded. However, it is not available in the Local Zmodo Photo folder at all. Searching local storage does not yield any videos. Version 6.0.4.29 still broken Please fix.

App doesn't update correctly in real time, I do not get notifications until minutes if not an hr after I should receive an alert. When I do receive an alert and go to watch the playback it tells me there's no video at this time. Absolute garbage and a waste of money.

I've had my old zmodo cams outside for 3 years and recently added a few new ones. App pretty much works flawlessly with motion alerts, push notifications, replay viewing and live streaming from the old and new cameras. The main thing i love is how i cam see multiple screens altogether at one time. That makes seeing whats going on alot easier. I even caught a thief on video who stole my solar powered landscape lights at 4am in the middle of night. From the app I was able to download the clip

What's going on with Zmodo??? All of my cams are offline for almost 2 weeks now. I have updated them all to version V16.7.1.26 and there's nothing wrong with my internet connection but they still don't work. They're all blinking green. Kindly please fix this issue.

Trying to connect cameras is ridiculous! I wasted my time trying to change router settings, I've entered the correct password, did everything to connect the cameras and nothing.

Don't know why there are so many system updates nothing changes on my end except cameras freeze up all the time and takes forever to catch up to real time or takes forever to go to live feed not sure what u ppl at zmodo are doing , but getting real close to do finding something different paid all this money for some I thought good security but it's not really that great if cameras freeze up ect. And now all cameras not working just blinking blue can't connect to the system this is just garbage.

Can't recommend zmodo for any job. Does not connect properly and has constant blackouts or lockups when using the app or the camera. May want to look into another camera system if you're looking for a very secure security camera for your house. This one is not it.

Great product 4 super good price. I haven't had any bugs or issues. I recommend this company based on the performance of the camera I have with zmodo. I went with Geeni because they have several more options than zmodo & when I need or want a new cam, I just go 2 Walmart and get a Merkury by Geeni and all of their cameras have sd slots, I buy the storage once, & for the life of those products I have free storage instead of subscription cost yearly. I love not having 2 4evr rent storage plans!

I have 3 now. It is great that it continuisly records. I got a different camera that was wireless so the video is only 3 min. Well what I seen was taken was between the 2 videos so it did me no good. I then got my 3rd Zmodo camera because the others 2 have been good cameras. I also have to admit there app is getting better too. So they are making it easier to use & letting it do more stuff which was needed, Thank you Zmodo, keep up the good work.

Can not get it set up. Will not stay on ZMD-SAP long enough to get it functioning properly. Still sends alerts, but can not view. Says "Not connected to Wi Fi network. It used to work untill I changed Wi Fi company.

BETTER FEED REVIEW OPTIONS. THUMBNAIL OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. UPDATE IT PLEASE. I REPEAT needs better video review options and a thumbnail of where u are scrolling footage ...way Too hard to find stuff that you need to see it never picks up what I need to see so I have to spend way too much time trying to find it... please add thumbnail or have it play as u scroll..........

Its was always a 2 hour ordeal connecting the cameras in the past, this time after getting a new router, there is no way to connect them anymore. Moving to another company, these are trash, the app is trash, the motion detection is trash.
