Zoiper IAX SIP VOIP Softphone

i have paid for the Zoiper pro version as they claimed my problem can be resolved such as connectivity problem and battery efficiency. Recently the software start having registeration problems. As it is frustrating coz we couldn't tell when the software doesn't register. thus we have many missed calls. Will cancel the subscription next renewal.

Even after have payed, after few months of usage I can confidently say that the app it's extremely unreliable. I've tested it and it seems that after many network change the app stops working for a day. From the same IP other device works fine even same other zoiper app. UPDATE: of course I will do that and update the review too if needed.

This app use to work well, but now it will not register...when it does, it doesn't stay registered for long, and either disconnects or stays in a constant state of registering. I have to close and restart the app for it to register. I use this for my business and pay for the pro version, annual fee. This has become completely unreliable. If the issue can not be fixed I will be forced to cancel my subscription and seek a better soft phone elsewhere. I don't know what changed, but it's worthless.

Won't ring. I have had the app working fine. Had to reinstall. Now everything works except inbound calls. No ringing, no vibration, no notification. Works perfectly on my wife's phone. Checked every setting on her phone, identical. Checked app notifications, exactly as they should be. Identical versions. Very frustrating.

This is possibly the most frustrating app I have ever had to work with! When I need to phone, it constantly tells me that the call is forbidden. When I restart my phone (because closing and restarting the app does NOT work), it works for maybe 1 or 2 calls and then forbidden again. What the hell is wrong with this app???

It appears to work better than some other voip software. However it nags you to upgrade to the pro version at least once per month. Edit; latest update zoiper claims my security certificate is invalid. Time window is correct, so app must have wrong time.

Works great. Edit. My 1 and only complaint is I would like it to attempt persistant registration. If registration fails for any reason, keep trying forever every 30 seconds or so.

I paid for a year. it works for a week then stuck at 'registration failed'. I tried uninstall and re-install, restart my phone, it couldn't get fixed. However, everything works great on my iPhone zoiper.

i can't get my refund i just cancels my combo yearly subscription in a same day when I purchased it but there is no refund such a loot making app and taking people's money for nothing and even there is no resolve from customer care worts feeling ever 😡😡😡😡😡

Some fields are missing, subscribe for MWI? And no clear way of finding such field, plus no "save" button when makimg changes to an account and the same message when going back to the main account after trying to edit a subsetting. Pretty horrible user experience.

I like the app. I've been using it for a while on Huawei P20 Lite / Android 9 without problem. However I've just switched to Nokia XR20 / Android 11, allowing the app to control DND. The first incoming call worked fine but the ringer was disabled on all subsequent calls until I manually disabled DND. Is there a fix for this other than permanently changing the DND permission? Seems to be same as the problem reported by Ashley Carr on 01/02/2022. Zoiper Version is v2.18.19 Using Sipgate UK

Constantly loses connection to sip server. Most often after network connection change (wifi to mobile, mobile to wifi, after incoming mobile call (internet is not available during conversation trough mobile network). Issue happens with multiple sip providers (I use paid zoiper version).

So many apps are disappointing but zoiper does everything it says on the tin... works fine, so much so that even my ITSP recommends it. Ive used nearly all the providers for 18 year

Purchased Gold in 2016. Nearly every time there has been an update since, the Premium features get disabled and I need to "jump through hoops" to get it to start working again. Really, really, really frustrated with this! ***Updated Part*** In response to the reply from developer...That is exactly my point. This is the answer we get year over year. I have had to go through that same troubleshooting over and over, and it still breaks with updates. Why should I have to keep uninstalling it and re-entering my SIP accounts to fix your licensing issue? With a degree in Computer Network Admin, I assure you I know to "turn it off and on again" and have Force Stopped it many many times. Instead of giving the same canned answer for years, please correct the problem which causes it to break in the first place.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with Zoiper. It's stable, and the call quality is usually pretty good. It usually runs reliably in the background on my OnePlus 7 Pro and doesn't seem to have a significant negative impact on battery life. Phone calls come through reliably even when I haven't used the app in a while. Overall the app has been stable, and I'm satisfied. I haven't had a good reason to look for another SIP client. Feature rich for those that require advanced setting control for those who need it, supports TLS encryption for calls which is a plus for me. The only problem that I have is that it doesn't seem to launch the Zoiper app/service when the phone restarts even though I've selected the option within the app to have it do so. I have to manually open the app at least once. Annoying when this causes you to miss a call, but after you launch the app it seems fine and stays connected.

It's been working well. 2 issues I have are that the call display text is so big it can't be read on the phones home screen and the app doesn't rotate to let it have more room. and then I was going to try the free trial to see if that would fix it but I see they don't tell you how much it is on the phone app just that the trial is free. I think they take your credit card to start the trial then it becomes a negative option to continue and start billing your CC. it's not clear how it works.it just says premium features. I see on play store there is a PRO Version for $12.99CAD but it's not clear if that is what your getting with the trial as one is called premium and the other is called PRO

It's a great app, but the voicemail notification (MWI) is a very important part of the VOIP experience. Considering that Zoiper is lacking this feature I can't give it a higher rating until that's addressed. The developers have made statements saying it's planned for future releases, however that was over 3 years ago, which doesnt instill much confidence that it will ever arrive.

It worked just fine until I signed up for the premium then it stopped working. It started timing out and it couldn't register. Edit: Upgrading to premium enabled a feature called "push proxy" which broke my SIP connection and I can't answer incoming calls without that feature. So, bottom line, free version works for me and premium doesn't. I had to install under a different google account to disable the premium. Update: support helped me to get it working. Maybe I'll feel differently after I've used it for a while but, for now, it's 3 stars because I think that an upgrade(especially a paid upgrade) shouldn't break a working configuration. The worst thing, for me, is that it changed the settings and, as far as I could tell, didn't tell me what settings had been changed.

I used CSip Simple for years and switched to Zoiper when it was discontinued. So far I am pretty satisfied with the app and thinking to buy the Pro version. But there is one issue: Most of the times when i receive a call, if the phone is locked, i hear the ringtone but the screen does not appear. Even if i manually unlock, i still can not see the popup window. I have S9+. Can you please help.

Unbelievable. Don't use it for your business calls. While they have made a serious effort to create a phone app, in essence the whole app is self-cancelled by the fact that it doesn't work with Bluetooth. Sometimes the BT works, some others not and some others it starts with the sound been heard from the Bluetooth and then it is transferred back to phone's audio. It's all random, you can't predict or do something about it. So useless.

Works as a proof of concept, but lots of important features are missing. For example: If I have my Bluetooth Headset on, it still uses the phone's integrated speaker. There's also an issue regarding local calls on FritzBoxes, where sometimes a call won't go through to a local number. This is not an issue with other VOIP Clients, like Twinkle, which just works. Also, the User Interface for setting up a new connection is sometimes unintuitive for new users (Difference TCP/UDP should be explained)

Was: Reliable. Does what I need. Now: after I left the initial review and rating, the app stopped working properly. I still can call but the recipient cannot hear me. I tried with the same 3 different SIP service providers and the result is the same:no sound on the other side. Consequently, it must be the app since there was no update of the settings. Moreover, the reply was that I can't read what to do with one way audio. Well, if I can't read, I switched to Acrobits Softphone app which works like a charm with one upfront pay that includes a permanent push service. What is best is that it does not require reading!! Zoiper, on the other hand, requires subscription for a push service that does not work. When using mobile data the other side does not hear me when I initiate the call irrespective of the use of their push notification. Going to garbage! Deleted!

A good app, but the nagging screens are nasty. Got to check double what you tap on. Edit: I believe it happened after a system reboot, that the app would start with a full screen mesaage explaining premium features, which took me a moment to figure out whether I had to press Yes or No to skip the message. I hope this will not show up regularly. Edit2: the nagging screens come with every restart. Two screens to carefully click through to not sign up for something. I uninstalled.

Works very well. I pay about a pound a month to make sure my app is always on, and it is, so well worth it. It was a lifesaver in Tunsia on a local cheap data SIM. No complaints, money well spent. I was using a free app before, but its worth paying a very small amount (they do have a free option). I combine with Localphone numbers, and its well worth it. Highly recommended, and suggest the small upgrade, money well spent. Update: two more years has passed and I'm still 100% satisfied!
