App get stuck on registration failed...untill its been closed and reopened again using the exit menu. Its keeps doing it randomly. I think it drops when the internet switch between wifi and mobile data.
It was wark. Now, it not start a call. Drops outgoing, call. I deleted app. And installed it again, Paid twice. And it's not help.
With the march 2nd update all out going calls fail if their address book entry has a blank. Fix is to add a blank to the list if chars to delete when dialing.... IMHO blank should be included by default.
Always works great, just whenever I turn on the push service, it won't register. So I leave it off and wish I hadn't bought it. (Pixel6 pro)
it works for a week then stuck at 'registration failed'. I tried uninstall and re-install, restart my phone, it couldn't get fixed. However, everything works great on my iPhone zoiper.
I would rate this app higher if it were more reliable but it frequently fails to stay connected and I have to tap the red x next to the account to disable it then tap again to enable it. This fixes it temporarily until the next time it has a DNS issue. I don't get a warning, but I do notice the x in the notification panel sometimes. Who knows how long I go without being reachable when the app should be able to try again on its own. The developers say that's what it does, but it falls short.
its fair at best, better than the pixel installed version. drops lots of calls, when driving forget about it. paid for premium, upgraded to push to assure connectivity. Beginning to think its a waste if money. May try good old call forwarding and save the money. turning service on and off require a multitude of screen clicks. muktiole screen clicks just to see if it is connected. Widget used to work and simplify the process but it started freezing so gave up on it
EDITED: Not sure what is wrong: when I call using a headset (I tested 2 wired and 2 Bluetooth on 2 different phones), the other parties invariably gets very choppy voice. Tested between my own phones - indeed, my voice cuts in and out. No idea which setting - tried echo cancellation, tried microphone boost, tried all codex. Everything is perfect without headsets. Any ideas?
Sound quality is good over WiFi or LTE, and acceptable over 3G. Easy to use and reliable except for... Having an issue with IAX refusing to register after a network change, such as going from WiFi to LTE and back. I have to restart the Zoiper Background every time to get it to re-register. Unfortunately this bug is serious issue for me. If I forget to restart the background after changing networks, I won't receive calls.
Overall the app works well but it requires a degree in Voip technology to get it set up. My biggest disappoint was paying $12 to upgrade to the pro package to get better voice quality and battery usage only to find out that there was yet another in App purchase for the option to truly get decent battery optimization. Very expensive app and misleading marketing.
I have just bought the pro version of the app a few hours ago. However, the same SIP account, working on the free version, doesn't work on the pro version. When making phone call, the calling request gets timeout every single time. Switching to the free version, same time, same network, same device, the call gets through without any problem. Better stay with the free version. Can I request a refund?
Suggest don't buy this app, am using a Samsung S20 Ultra and it didn't register after a while. Customer service keeps saying the issue is not at their end. However when I install Zoiper IAX/SIP i manage to register to make and receive calls. Is frustrated when they aren't trying to solve the problem but push it to service provider.
I have paid for the pro version of Zoiper and also have the monthly subscription for the push service. Any incoming calls I received only last for 32 seconds, then drop out on wifi and cell data. I have made sure all Zoiper and phone settings are what's recommended by them. It's frustrating when attempting to receive important information in business related calls. The idea of what Zoiper says this app offers is great, however I am yet to be fully impressed with it.
Very useful app!! Only thing is sometimes when youre on a call and needing the keypad, any other incoming call will come on top and you have to wait for it to stop ringing before you can transfer a call or press any numbers on keypad. But otherwise it's a very very good app and I would 100% recommend a download and pay for the premium app.
Love it! Completely configurable for customizing to the needs of a techie right on down to the newbie! It's a godsend down here in South America, for because I live in the United States, but my phone in the United States is super expensive to call from South America! I'm able to set up a separate phone down here in South America, for less than us $15 a month! Take a hint, U.S Carriers! Charging and absorbitant 25 cents a minute are you serious at this day and age?! Take your intermittent servic
Zoiper used to work for me, but recently, despite buying whatever codecs and subscriptions have been available, it does not ring when I'm called by colleagues in the USA. I feel I have wasted my money, and a LOT of time in trying to sort the problems out. I've since switched to another app and it works fine.
Excellent soft phone. Supports multiple VoIP providers. Auto-detects the correct protocol for a new VoIP service by testing for UDP, TCP, or TLS and selecting the successful connection type. While applications such as WhatsApp let you freely call mobiles locally and abroad, Zoiper lets you call landlines too, which is especially useful when travelling abroad and in need of calling car-rent agencies, restaurants, hotels, etc.
Since the update I constantly get registration fail. It registered for 5 to 10 minutes then fails. Error is 408 time out.. in my view this is a bug with the new update and it is not compatible with android 10... update not fully tested. When working calls are dropped on wifi amd 4G. Previous version was great, no problems and the program was rock solid.... no changes to network settings, and zoiper setting. Zopier have finally confirmed there are registration problems.. very bad support.
Useless. It won't dial any of my 300+ contacts because all my contacts numbers start with + since majority of my contacts are international numbers. When I try to dial I get a declined error. Contacted support and they've not been able to help even when I was told to enable the feature that removes characters before dialling. I wish I hadn't paid for the full version.
I've been using this app for a while. In India those who have "BSNL Wings" can opt for this app instead of Grandstream. Easy to configure & call quality is also very good. It takes our contacts synchronized so no need to type numbers. If you need a better call quality go for this pro version than "lite" version. No voice breaks, you'll get a voice quality just like GSM
Buggy as hell on the LG G7. Sometimes it'll bypass my DND settings in the middle of the night. Sometimes it'll ring silently in the middle of the day, or only for one ring, or not at all. The same account works fine with MicroSIP. Zoiper support is effectively unresponsive. Edit: in response to the dev's reply, no, the DND issue is NOT fixed.
i bought the full version and signed up for PUSH proxy service. latest version of FreePBX. Their push proxy service actuality went down two nights ago for several hours. i had to disable it on the phone to get any calls. and battery life was terrible on my pixel II XL - even with all the right settings. TCP, PUSH, ETC. i went searching for alternatives on the Telco chat boards and bought Groundwire. so far so good. no missed calls or battery issues for 24 hours now.
Would be 5 stars if support wasn't so terrible. Despite paying for pro, support takes ages. They have been unable to tell me which app is better Zoiper Free or Zoiper Premium. I got confused and paid for annual subscription to both. Is clear from their responses they didn't even bother to check. Twice. Despite my calling this out and asking. Ie:questions are not fully read or looked at properly resulting in repeated emails each lengthening the support process unessesarily. Still unresolved.
This is a good app. However, the developer is nickel and diming on the features. Even after paying for Premium, you still have to pay extra for PUSH functionality. And you have to pay extra AGAIN just to have one of the *CODECS*. This is ludicrous! If you pay for Premium, you should get full access to all features, PERIOD!
Missing almost 75% of incomming calls if the smartphone is in standby mode. Outgoing calls are ok, sms are good also. The app has good interface. However it's useless for me since I miss so many calls. GS wave app is much better, 95% of incomming calls make it.
For over a month i have been unable to use the pro app. Any time someone calls, it rings only once and immediately drops the call and leaves a missed call notification. Feels like I wasted $$$ now that it does not work. Updated 7/20/2020: Zoiper never fixed the issues regardless of service ticket submittal, we no longer use their service since they stopped working for multiple employees.
Android 12 update just canned native SIP accounts on my phone - despair! - how do I still use my VOIP accounts on my cell, and not have to depend solely on Google voice? Zoiper to the rescue. After much web search I settled on this app and I am thoroughly satisfied. Not using my cell for incoming SIP calls, but I need the option to make such calls, especially when roaming overseas. Zoiper configured perfectly fine for not receiving calls, and yet able to make calls just fine.
