Zombicide Companion
Zombicide is a collaborative game for 1 to 6 players, for 13 years old and up. A game lasts from 20min (beginner board) to 3 hours (expert board).
Each player controls from one to four "survivors", human beings in a zombie-infested town. In fact, "survivors" hastily change to "hunters" to smash zombies through and through. However, the team must constantly keep the balance between survival and slaughter: as the zombicide's going on, the "Danger level" is going up and the infected are growing in numbers. Any misstep can turn to disaster.Zombicide is a fun and easy game with cool minis in an archetypical, popular and comics-inspired environment. Ambiance is constantly kept between "beat'em up" and "survival horror" as characters keep on turning from prey to predators. Humor and gloom happily marry in a zombie-fest.
The Zombicide Companion App serves as a digital replacement for the Survival Identity Cards used in the boardgame to keep track of each character’s equipment inventory, experience and skills. But the app goes beyond that, offering players some cool extra aids as well.

• A virtual deck of equipment cards allows you to easily control you survivors inventory, switching cards around with a flick of the wrist and no fear of cards slipping around.
• Keeping track of your survivor’s experience has never been easier. Add XP by ticking off what zombies you killed and your Danger Bar is automatically updated.
• As you gain experience and new Danger Levels, your new Skill options are automatically displayed, and the app incorporates any pertinent new game effects.
• Having a hard time keeping track of your actions as you gain new free ones? With the Action Bar, you can tick off each specific action as you take it, so you always know what actions you have left.
• Roll virtual dice for any of your equipped weapons, automatically calculating successful hits according to any combat skills you may have (and with sound effects to boot!)
• Choose any of the Survivor characters, including the promos. Up to 6 Survivors can be managed on the same device.

Does what it says. The app works well for me. Easy set up, easy clean up. Not critical to play the game, but helpful. Yes, you have to buy expansions. At least its not jam packed with ads like most apps. Dropped 1 star due to a season 3 feature not included, or at least not in any way I can find. Transferring items to the helicopter. This is pretty important. Other reviews say you have to purchase expansions on each device, but I only have needed it on the host. Overall, I like the app.
I love this app. Yes you have to pay for each expansion, but it's well worth the time saved shuffling, organizing, and cleanup of you are like me and don't put everything in one box. Only reason for not getting 5 stars is sometimes there are connectivity issues, items lock up for a few seconds when searching (both on Android and iOS), and no way to add abilities in ultra red if you level past the ones already on the card. Custom characters would be an amazing feature also.
Nice app. A few suggestions: -allow me to change the color of the black bands behind the survivor names on the main player screen on the left to easily tell which person is which on the board -have a color symbol of some sort on the main screen dictating what the highest current experience level color is out of all the survivors -i can't read what the note on the nightstick card says on my phone, too small. -first player token never switches names. -have popup info screen for zombies turn -
I agree with everyone saying this is a terrible attempt to make more money. The modules and expansions are already expensive, worth the price but expensive. This is not worth the extra purchases. And the filter isn't working. That's MY personal peeve with this app. Please make character filter work
the app is nice but it should work like Mansions of Madness one, and allow to add expansion for free. I think milking customers for more when the physical game is still required to play and quite expensive it's a really scummy move.
This app is great! Very expansive and a great aid to the game. Lately, I haven't been able to play co-op because other people can't join my game, and vice versa. It used to work but lately it hasn't. Other than that, its an awesome app!
Disappointing. While I understand the need to pay developers, the add-ons for the expansions are way over priced for what you are getting. Suggest big box expansions should be 99 cents. Small box 49 cents. Family share should be included in this price. Won't be using this app to play.
Doesn't support 2nd edition and you have to purchase add ons for all of the expansion content in addition to buying the expansion itself. Waste of time.
You have to pay for all expansions in this app. So if you are like me and only have season 2 you will have to buy the add on in the app, along with any other expansions. Only the base set is free.
Apparently the Zombiestore doesn't work correctly. My purchases are there, but it doesn't allow me to buy something. All transactions are declined. I am very fond of the app though.
Update: the store is working again and just purchased an expansion. Still it is so annoying to pay for each expansion. I wish it was like black plague companion.
Terrible! Why do you have to spend money on the expansion app when you already have the physical board? A shameful money grab this is! While most,if not all, reputable boardgame companies produce companion app for the base and expansion games free of charge ( you just need to register it. E.g mansion of madness ) this publisher shamelessly wants you to buy the expansion companion app too after spending your hard earned money in their boardgames...CoolMiniOrNot (CMON) is the EA of boardgames publisher
1 star is not low enough. Like voiced many times before me, you have to spend even more money just to add expansion content to the app.
Can't start a game! Hit boxes are unresponsive also.

Fantastic app! Wouldn't play the game without it.
A very solid app and one I appreciate. I used this for years on an ipad we passed around the table during games. It was much more convenient than the cardboard cards. I hope we will see a new version of this to support the 2nd edition. However, the inclusion of plastic dashboards is a much better system than the old cards and clips. Of course, I like to use the black plague app and that game launched with plastic dashboards. Recommend the app if you want to play zombicide with kids especially.
