Zombicide: Tactics & Shotguns

Great transposition on graphical and mechanics, with some cool adaptiaton. the game fails though in delivering the challenge of the board version where you sweat and think about each single move, particularly toward end of mission. In the game you are OP and basically you mow through zombie hordes without many problems (even if you play recklessly).That s a Pity. You could address it with higher spawn rates or by reviewing the spawns , this would increase also the longevity of the game

I'm a big fan of the original board game, but this doesn't recreate the experience 1to1, which is a good thing. Adding more game elements that would be impossible on the table really makes this a fun mobile adaptation. I know some disapprove of the pay wall for extra characters, but that doesn't bother me. I'm currently half way through the campaign and only just have my first loss, so the difficulty isn't too great, but outside the tutorial missions, I haven't felt that the stages are too easy.

I'm having a great time playing this game so far. It feels tense when there's a pile of zombies slowly shambling your way. Where is cloud save though? I want to play this game on my tablet/phone without having to start over. Game needs some options to speed up animations, and to incorporate achievements as well. Basically a great time, but missing some of quality of life options.

I really like the game. It is different from the boardgame but provides a nice single player experience and also the feeling of progress. I do not know if I would buy additional characters, but I would gladly buy additional scenarios if it was an option. The game should synchronise progress so we could play from different devices. There is an issue when you loot something after the end of the mission the looted item is missing and instead there is a duplicate of one of your items.

There is $20 of DLC, which consists of 8 characters. They give four characters for free, and one for signing up for an account. The DLC characters do not seem necessary, but it is a very steep pay wall. It's $2.99 per character or a bundle of two for $4.99. Total cost is $25 for the game and DLC. Base game is good, but hiding content behind a steep pay wall in game feels scummy. I have all the other Asmodee games and most DLC but this is the first where the cost doesn't really match the content.

I preferred this version over the actual zombicide board game because of the progression system and story. Challenge keeps up with progression through about mid-game, but becomes far too easy by the end. This provided entertainment worth the price tag , but I've seen about everything this game has to offer. I'd pay for a new map/story pack but I don't see the point in purchasing new characters that don't differ that much from stock.

If you buy the extra characters dont reinstall game. Data does not save. I lost all my pay for characters because of this. Good little strategy game with a zombicide feel. It is not the app version of the board game. There is also a glitch when taking a different character on the first mission the game becomes unresponsive (its why i reinstalled the game) only to lose my pay for characters. Hoping they fix these little issues but its good and challenging enough game so i will continue to play.

I enjoy the game as a way to pass the time. However, I recently had to reset my phone and upon redownloading the app, all the DLC bundles I purchased became locked again. Not sure if they are progress locked or it's an error with the app. Besides this inconvenience, the game is fun and intuitive.

Great game just like the board game. There are a few difference but it's still good. I wish it had a ”custom mode” where we could create a map and put the objectives or a at least a node with random generated maps with scalating difficulty for replayability, I still haven't finished the campaign but I have a feeling it will lack replayability later on.

Definitely not a good substitute for the board game. Way too easy and way over simplified.. Also already lost my progress, as you are forced into the tutorial if you get logged out, and if you login, it then overwrites your progress with the new start. perfect 👍🏼.. Just glad I wasn't very far, probably won't play it often anyway.

I like the reimagining of the game for the app, but the game is buggy and there are no clear save points or options. I often would come back to the game to find a level breaking bug where objectives I needed had disappeared forcing a restart. There are also just annoying issues like collecting gear, leaving the app mid level, the returning to find the same gear markers had reappeared and the gear upon re-collecting would be different. Often worse. Really needs a skip all animations option too.

Awesome game. Solid and very smooth. I rarely have time to finish a whole level in one sitting so I love that i can put my phone to sleep and pick up where I left off later. Would have been nice to move the group as a whole as well as individually. I played the whole game without buying characters and was never once even asked to buy. This is not play to win as one reviewer suggested. Perfect length for a mobile game.

The game is as fun as the board version and you can spend many hours enjoying it. As already mentioned on other reviews the rules were adapted and the character skills are also different from the original. Extra characters can be bought separately but apparently it doesn't change the experience at all. it's important to notice that is a single player game.

Edit: bug mission 5-2 freezes after you clear the backstreet. unable to proceed. Pixel 4 XL. Brilliant game, lots of fun and has mini replay value (farming) to get more upgrades. Wish it had cloud sync so i could play accross devices, would be nice to play on big screen when at home! Well worth it, recommened. Make me want to get the board game now!

This encompasses a bit of Zombicide's tactical gameplay, but adds a bit too much easy factor to the game. I'm not a tactical genius or anything but I just finished my first playthrough in less than a week and I completed every map on perfect everytime. None of my survivors ever got hit and I found the game way too easy. I think the main issue is that the starting survivor eventually can shoot off like 49 shots in a round. If you buy one of the less OP characters then the game could be better.

really fun, straightforward tactics game. great adaptation of a miniatures war game. I wish there were more games like this, offline, no paying for gems, etc. unlocking a few characters isn't necessary and the game feels like a full experience without paying for any of the character packs. please do more expansion maps and more games just like this with all the different themes. star wars imperial assault would be great if it were made mobile like this

A very well done game. Gives the classic Zombicide feel while being optimized for phones. The only downsides I think are due to the platform itself (phone battery life, phones aren't a comfortable platform for extended play, etc.). I would love to see this come to a console. Also would love to see a sequal!

great reimagining of the board game. there are characters locked behind a pay wall, but before you complain about that 1. realize that none of them are necessary to enjoy the game, and 2. the board game has far far more add on that cost quite a bit more than the digital version.

This is a really fun game. I enjoyed my playthroughs. My main contention is that it hasn't been updated in a year and, after playing through a few times, there's nothing new or different. When this came out, it sounded like they would be adding on to it over time. They have a lot of material to pull from in expanding the game. But... No expansion, no bug fixes either. Nothing. Fun for a time or two through. Don't waste your money on extra characters, not with it.
