I really like the app BUT after 5 missions done or so, I have to wait several days (up to 4-5 days) before doing the next one when it wasn't the case at the beggining ! Unless of course I pay the monthly or yearly subscription... I understand you have to get money somehow but this is highly frustrating and paying 8 euros a months to carry on playing is highly overpriced in my opinion.
I'm afraid I'm having more and more problems with it the longer I use it. First, there's no way on my phone to change the app volume when using it with an external player. The internal music volume resets as soon as I change it. I'd literally prefer a mute button in the run screen at this point. Secondly, I'm trying to restart a mission, but for some reason it wants me to do double the distance that I've set. I used to like this app, but it's getting so annoying changing volume all the time.
I've had this app for about a month and it's great. Tons of missions that have surprisingly good voice acting. It's kind of like an audio-book mixed with a running app. Great at keeping me motivated to keep running while distracting me from the boredom of running. Tons of configuration so that you can use it how you like no matter your speed and works perfectly with external music players like Pandora.
I find the building a base portion of this game to be a good motivator to run: however, the zombie chase mode did the opposite of what I think it was intended to do (in my case). I ended up not wanting to run so that I could save my energy in the event there was a zombie chase. Creative idea, just maybe not for everyone.
I love this app, what a great concept! My regular routine isn't boring anymore! The only issue I have is with the zombie chases (why I didn't give 5 stars). I am walking, not running, and even though I have them set to 3 chases, they rarely pop up even once, regardless of how fast I'm going. And when they do occur it's ALWAYS at a crosswalk! I'd really like a pause button for chases, because if I cancel them I never get another one. I'd also like them to occur based on time or mileage, NOT pace.
I really love this app, I've been using it on and off for years. however once they moved to a subscription based service I lost interest for ages. when I did come back though they had a big discount for the year and I splurged. I probably would have suffered through the free version if it stayed the same price but not having to wait for missions Is nice
Love it but the GPS accuracy is a miss for me. I started the free version a few years back and was happy I was able to recover my old account. I upgraded and love all the various challenges beyond zombie run BUT the GPS accuracy is way now off for me. I run my galaxy watch with the app and today it was almost a 1/2 mile off! No sure what's happening because this wasn't an issue before.
I can't get it to work. Plays first part/section of the run and then nothing, every time I use it. Vibrates when I pick items up but I have no idea what it is as the audio has stopped and no idea whats happening in the mission as there is just silence. Really disappointed as I really like the concept
I am absolutely in love with this app. The stories are captivating and have me coming back for more. Because of this app I have started itching to go for a walk if it meant listening to the next episode. I've started on a weightloss journey and this app has helped me to start getting down to a healthier weight and meeting my step goals for the day. It's the perfect app to use for some light exercise. ❤️
Pretty good ngl just wish I didn't have to wait a week between episodes like I understand you have to make the free accounts have certain (annoying) elements in order to entice people into paying for your subscription but at least make it a bit shorter. But other than that one issue it's good. there's no ads (except in the beginning of eps when they talk about the subscribetion and additional features) so 9.5/10! Also merry Christmas! (Or just have a nice day if it's not around the holidays 👋)
Gives me motivation to keep up with my running to earn more supplies and build up my base. I had some trouble with my base builder but the support to get it fixed was great and I haven't had any other issues. Great concept!
Super motivating and immersive (that is distracting) way to run. I absolutely love it. The stories are interesting. And I always get a huge adrenaline rush when I hear that zombies are approaching, definitely improves my speed. I love this app!
I love this app so much. Perfect for someone like me who gets bored of just listening to music or just listening to an audiobook while running. With this you get both! And the random zombie chases are always a fun challenge. I also love all the extra adventures they have added recently. Especially the scientific ones like the Olympus Mons 10k and Run with the Ancestors 10k. I started as a total noob who struggled to run 2 km. I can now easily run 10k and it's all thanks to this app.
They took away data I paid for. I first got into this years ago, looking for something to make runs interesting. And it worked. I paid for the first three seasons. Then they went subscription. They promised people like me wouldn't lose those purchases. But then I switched to Android. And that did not carry over. Fine, I slowly unlocked them over time one a week as the app allows. And then I got a newer Android phone. And those are all gone again. Between that and the wokeness in game, I'm done.
Love the app and the story that goes with it. But noticed recently that the text to speech for item pickup and distance notification no longer works during missions. Can this be fixed?
It's amazing that I can adjust the length of run, GPS to view the route I ran, and best of all use my own Playlist. I'm in love with Sam's Character! He's a great guide!
Omg, this is the best app ever!! It gets me out of the house to exersise like nothing else. The missions are so good and dramatic and really pull you in. Sometimes I can't help but gasp or exclaim outloud at some twist. It's a great price for the first level of the club. Literally my only complaint is that I wish you could do the optional races without having to pay for the medal. I'd still pay for the extra missions, but I don't need physical objects.
I love the missions and the after run summary. But I'm constantly disappointed that I can't find my way back to the run summaries. I would love to see my progress over time. Or at least be able to navigate back to see how I did on my last run.
Purchased this app and it hasn't worked properly. Definitely not worth the money, use the free version! Even after paying I can still only access the free version! No refunds either from the company!
Love Zombies, Run . The stories are clever and engaging, I have cried and laughed, fallen in love and grieved. I recommend this app to everyone, especially if like me, running is one of those torturous past times that you are always looking for an excuse not to do, but I need to know what happens next
This is a really fun and motivational (and sometimes creepy) way to run. You can get outside and just get lost in the story as you run, or even run on a treadmill. You can even just walk. Then when you get chased by zombies, and you hear them behind you, you get a tingle on your neck and a spark to just run for your life haha it's really fun. Then you can build your base. I can talk about this all day, just try it out, it's awsome.
Not sure what happened since I last used this a few years ago, but the login screen just vanishes if you type the wrong pw, no error message or anything, the list of missions leads to black or incomplete pages, possibly p2p, but it doesn't SAY that, and the "preparing next mission" message has loaded for a few minutes now; doesn't seem to work. Can't start any runs, basically.
Great Motivator! This app helps me stay interested in cardio. You collect items while you run to build your town while listening to creative story lines. You ARE runner 5 and become invested on the future of Able and your friends. ❤️
I absolutely LOVE this app! I got this app almost a year ago because I was looking for motivation to run. This app not only works well with the treadmill, but it's also perfect for the eliptical! The app allows you to set your time/distance for each run, the stories are really interesting to follow, you can train for marathons, and you can even collect supplies during each run to build-up your base (which you can create). I suggest this app to everyone and now have a subscription :-)
