ZPlayer

Still probably my favorite all around music player (I was always a fan of the Zune interface). But it would be nice if there was a way to backup/restore playlists, edit tags, a Folder view (instead of sorting by Artist), as well as maybe a few more options as far as the 'Now Playing Screen' layout.

Happily, This app is dramatically improved for functionality with Android 11 after an update! It does a very good job of replicating the navigation and organization of the old WP/Zune media player and I enjoy it a lot on that level. Recommend highly for people like me who loved that UX. It would be even better if there were more library management options- having the ability to sort a specific music directory for the app would be awesome and I'd also love a "Hide from library" option.

Love the app but what happened to the paid version? Tried using an older backed up copy, but it has Bluetooth meta data sync issues when playing on a car radio. Unable to edit tags/properties in the free one.

Too Many Bugs. For an App which is more than 5 years old its a shame too have this many features and not one implemented well. E.g The app plays videos but only in portrait mode, no landscape mode. Atleast 70% radio stations show connection Error, nonworking links. Favourites on the radio do not register. It has a music file player (good) podcast player and chart 📊 list too but I think its a risk to rely on a jack of all app. Hence opted for a refund.

I'm back and forth with this player. It has everything I love about the Zune but I wish the equalizer actually functioned the way the equalizer works in Poweramp. Also, I wish it had an option to continue playing on to the next list the way Poweramp does. I don't like that once the album or single is finished the music just stops. If it had those options I'd ditch Poweramp in a heartbeat and go back to using this app. Too bad the last update was in 2017. It was finally progressing nicely.

Best MP3 player app ever! That being said my only issue with it is when switching MicrosoSD card from one device to another it won't show genres listed as I have them curated. The only way to mitigate this is to format the MicroSD and then transfer the files via usb cable. That's a bit of a hastle unfortunately. There's also no way to manually scan any music folders within the ZPlayer app. Would this have to do with android's permissions accessibility? Perhaps. Hopefully this can be fixed soon.

Edit: 8 band equalizer is gone. Albums merge when they share the same name. Other apps can't fetch info from what's playing (muviz). Can't add songs to playlists. The mosaic album view is gone too. App crashes when trying to change artist picture 5 stars to the dev for keeping this alive! Am I missing something or the 8 band equalizer is gone and also the last menu on the main screen that had access to eq presets and forget stuff... Want that equalizer back 🥺 please...

I definitely love the app, PLEASE fix the app cause it pauses every song every minute. I have to uninstall then reinstall to get it to play correctly. Then if I don't play it for a few hours or even one day when I go back to play music it starts to pause again. PLEASE FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY. THANKS IN ADVANCE

So glad the dev is back. Completes my love for the well refined Zune experience. Great work! Images work now, looks amazing. Only thing, I wish on devices like the note 10, the player would fill the space where the camera is. There is currently a black bar, which kind of kills the illusion. Love it though! Great work!!

Gets worse with every update 😒! I actually have to use an older version and turn off auto updates, then manually update all the others. Pain in the a$$!

F***ing love this app. Miss my zune and this player is definitely filling the hole in my soul a bit. Thanks for your hard work on this. Very cool.

I've been using this app for years. It's great for oled screens and has never failed me. Take it from a random stranger on the internet. If you want a good app for music and have an oled screen, you won't be disappointed by this interface.

Well, that's just great. Had a rough day at work and decided to open up zPlayer, my only music app (that I spent money on) and it don't even open anymore. I'll change the rating once I can actually load the program. Edit: it has finally been updated 😍 thank you!!!

Loved the app a few years ago, but doesn't play nicely with my S7 any more now. Judders during playback even after playing around with battery saver options, please fix for S7. Well it's been over 6 months since I left this review as the developer hasn't even bothered commenting. Don't support this until developer fixes the app :(

The update that just went out only lets a song play for maybe a minute, and then it stops... I love this app, but right now it's insanely frustrating. Edit: now all of my playlists have disappeared... I'm really disappointed in it now

Reliving the nostalgia and functionality of Zune! The user interface is inspired by older zine media players back in the day with metro letters and artist backgrounds.Clean, simple to use and fairly good on battery. One of the only apps I bought from the Play store

This is s great app and harks back to Zune which I loved. Unfortunately no updates since 2017. And now I have the new Pixel 5 with Android 11 and album art doesn't show any longer. Deal breaker for me. Google have obviously changed permissions or something I guess. Will reach out to developer to see if he/she can update. An app to be proud of for sure.

Used to work flawlessly until a week ago. Now it doesn't show album art, crashes all of the time and my library is a complete mess. Tried reaching out to the guy who made the app but nothing in return. Avoid.

The zune UI (IMHO) was the best out of all the portable media players. This app does a great job recreating that UX. The screens are sleek, highly intuitive l, and aesthetically pleasing.

Super clean easy to use Zune media player. I have been using it for about 4 years now and it is still holding up. Love it. Only app I paid for and it is running on Galaxy S9

Transition page animation now smoother. Background artist working well. I think too much dark/colour overlay on background artist on welcome screen, now is hard too see. No problem with overlay on Now playing screen.

Best player in the place from faaaaaar. We just need more features such as folders view for videos. Almost 3 years since the latest update, time for some more :)

So bad,Double tap on headphones button doesn't play next song.Great and elegant app. Very similar to my old windows Phone. But it's too buggy. Option button keep freezing. Beta app doesn't open on my Asus 5z.
