Gorilla by PIAS

The Gorilla app is a human-machine-interface (HMI) to a Siemens Simatic S7 plc. The app offers a very simple user interface, which can easily and flexibly operate on complex controls.

All relevant control functions are possible:

- HMI (HMI / SCADA)
- Menu Control
- Features on / off - enable / disable
- Changing parameters
- Display of process data

The Gorilla app is the active communication part, but the optics, the behavior and the possible functions and data, however, will be determined by the plc. The communication with the controller is implemented by using the TCP/IP interface and works via Wi-Fi or 3G.

The connection parameters will be realized by scanning a "Gorilla code". Within this code all the necessary parameters like IP address, etc. are included. Thus, the Gorilla app is prepared and ready to communicate with the plc. Further settings to the Gorilla app are not necessary.

2. Enter the Controller ID of the Gorilla-app into the form
3. Scan the QR-Code with the Gorilla-app
4. The app connect automatically with our Siemens "Simatic S7-1200" plc
